[...] GamerGate harassment campaigns were pointed to as examples of problems escalating beyond mere “bullying” into full-blown terrorism. There were thankfully no GamerGaters in the room to debate that.

Regardless of your opinions on GamerGate, you have to be a special kind of wacky to call mean twitter comments terrorism. Whilst you can certainly say some are going through with the dictionary definition (threatening violence in order to cause fear), it's a technicality at best and scare-mongering at worse.

Although you're visiting, @Reuben G. Baron, you don't seem interested in talking to us. It's rather telling when you're outspoken in spaces you know you won't be challenged (i.e; that 'It Gets Better' jazz) but when asked about your opinions here, you stay quiet. Saying "There were thankfully no GamerGaters in the room to debate that." only confirms this.

It's hyperboyle to call agressive tweets terrorism, a time honored traditon of go go gonzo jourlists.
(I should feel ashamed of that but I do not)

I think Reuben G. Baron did almost earn a point from me as of late with his desire to work, not many lol cows even attempt to find work, granted if sending a tweet is a job hunt it's still a lot better than most.

Reuben could probably find a hug box echo chamber or fan site for something if he wants to try to report for a living. I think seeing us give him some postive advice may show we are here to study and in ways have been much more helpful to some than family friends or goverment. I do worry if he started out there, he'd probably never want to leave the "safe space" since debate is wanted in all forums and contrsuctive criticism is welcomed by those open minded.

That does make me wonder Reuben G Baron of Bard college, since you seem to only want to be where you are the only voice or in groups you agree with fully, how did you do in school, I'm willing to bet a few professors you had at such an expensive college(cost at time of writing is 48,240) were going to challenge you. Not because they in theory disagreed with you but more beacuse in writing/reporting that's how you grow.

True revolutionaries welcome debate, because they know they fight for the people and the people will side with them. They know that they are in the right, and are willing to debate endlessly against anyone who wants to in order to prove it. What would Che Guevara think of you now, @Reuben G. Baron? I thought you were a freedom fighter for equality and friendship.

(I don't actually know if Reuben likes Che Guevara, but I am absolutely willing to bet money that Reuben likes Che Guevara)

Che "The Butcher of La Cabaña" Guevara?

I doubt it.

Not if the shit GamerGate is pulling is Terrorism.

I mean, make no mistake, there is an argument to be had that threatening talks does qualify as that. Literal dictionary definition. I've seen and used dictionary definitions against people, so I'll gladly see it used here. That stuff is using fear to get one's way. Now, is it the equivalent of ISIS, forcing captured Yazidi girls into sexual slavery, seizing control of Palestinian Refugee camps and walking through the place putting everyone who is of the wrong religion/ethnicity to death? No. Not by a long shot. But it is, by definition, terrorism. Sure we can pull a "Majority of GamerGate isn't _______" but a part of it is, and I'm not convinced that everything that would make GamerGate look bad is all an elaborate SJW conspiracy. Same way I don't buy into the idea that everyone who dislikes Rev 60 is a part of an elaborate GamerGate conspiracy. So, with that out of the way....

*Ahem*

If certian people want to view GamerGate the way they do, I would damn well hope they aren't gushing over the man who sat at the head of death tribunals and oversaw firing squads.

In case any Champagne Socialists want to dispute this from the cafes of New York and California, I'll point out that it's a part of the history acknowledged in Che's very flattering biography, "Che." It's a thing what happened. He wasn't the commander of butterflies and smiley faces.

I think Reuben is a far sight better than most lolcows and if he hadn't have been so ungraceful with garnering our attention then he wouldn't have warranted a thread at all. The fact he specifically came here and tried so hard is what got him lolcow status.

Honestly if he came to this thread and talked about his beliefs like a normal person it wouldn't be so bad. Look at @Connor, when he makes regular posts like anyone else people are proud and glad to have him onboard. He's shown willingness to improve that filter and the other things that make him a lolcow. I know I've certainly got a lot better image of him because of that.

Reuben wouldn't really find it hard to talk normally with us, but his refusal to go anywhere he is challenged keeps this thread and his lolcow status alive.

@Reuben G. Baron uses hateful terminology when referring to the obese.

So drawing a fat kid cosplaying a slightly-less-fat kid is automatically making fun of the kid they’re cosplaying for being fat, even if my main hero is also fat and I’ve written whole episodes about fat positivity. Got it.

Because having a black friend means you can't be racist, and having a Jewish friend means you can't be anti-Semitic. This exchange is particularly telling of just how out of touch @Reuben G. Baron is with both reality and with disabilities that don't fit within the Upper West Side lifestyle.

Reuben G. Baron visited us yet again today. This somewhat disappoints me, because he has rejected/ignored a thoughtful invitation I sent him, asking him to offer some of his fans insights into the production of his next film. His self-imposed seclusion aside, I'm still pretty hyped for the May release of A Superhero Musical.

On the upside, Reuben's activity on the Kiwi Farms tipped me off to the potential for new content. Reuben G. Baron is a self-obsessed autist auteur film director and prolific gonzo journalist, and there is an emerging pattern where he signs into the Kiwi Farms everytime he posts new content somewhere on the web. Just to confirm that his biggest fanbase is still acknowledging his existence.

Reuben G. Baron got to meet Neil Gaiman, accomplished author of the recent book Trigger Warning: Short Fictions And Disturbances. Gaiman looks really thrilled to be posing with such an adoring fan.
