We'll likely not know, if ever, for a while, possibly years. It sounds to me like someone who knows they're in a shitty, possibly abusive (depending on your definition, I guess, from what we've seen so far it's non-physical) relationship but is too emotionally attached to leave. It's the classic "but I love him!" mentality that keeps some women in such relationships.

It's like when you hear stories of men in 10+ year marriages/relationships who let their wife/girlfriend get railed by other men because they're too emotionally attached to let them go. In that case, they are very, very much not enjoying it but still let what would to any sane person be utterly unacceptable go on without any resistance.

I suspect that's what's going on here. If the image I linked earlier is indeed legit info, I'd consider it to absolutely be the case. Whether or not you find that kind of relationship "abusive" or "shitty" is different depending on who you ask, though.

I've listened to the majority of the Dick Show, over the last year or two he's said several times how polly/three way relationships are doomed to fail, and kind of talked around knowing first hand. He's also said that he's said all kinds of embarrassing shit to get women to sleep with him. I think JLH has been threatening him for a while, or he just had a hunch she was gonna fuck with him.
