Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Its been a while since we tried to do an autopsy on R60, but I believe the reason it ran like shit is because it was poorly optimized and was loading in rendering for things it damn well didn't need to be doing, like the reverse sides of walls or whatever a player character would never, ever see.

For my money, the funniest part of Revolution 60 is how much content it blatantly steals and uses without giving credit. There are buildings and props in the game that are stolen from Second Life:

The weapons used by Fifth Column troops are blatantly existing resource pack weapons with a bunch of stuff stuck onto them to make them look future-y.

The funniest example though is her use of royalty-free music that she then gave no credit for. The best one was a song Wu herself claimed to have written, only for Youtube's Content ID Bot to disagree with that notion when I downloaded it from her Vimeo and tried to upload it to Youtube:

There's a certain level of incompetence only Brianna can bring us, and I love it.

Yet another instance of John automatically assuming "more expensive = more betterer."

First, note he specifies "18-core i9." Looking up the list of Core i9 processors, there are only two that have 18 cores, one released in 2018 (ew, old) and one in 2019. And wouldn't you know it, in both cases those are the most expensive processors you can buy from those generations. Intel's supposedly releasing a new generation in the second half of this year, but John probably isn't aware of that, so I'd laugh if he bought an i9-10980XE thinking it was top of the line only for it to be out of date a couple months later.

A cursory Amazon search for LGA 2066 motherboards shows you can get one for about $200, but knowing John, he'll want to go for one with all the bells and whistles that's $500 or more, because again, more is betterer.

Finally, I know John would love to have one of Nvidia's Quadro cards, running from $4000 on the "low" end all the way up to $9000 for the most expensive model. But maybe he'll settle for a Titan RTX instead, which is only $2500. John can be frugal, y'know!

The real kicker in all of this (aside from the fact that John can't gamedev) is that this proposed machine is way overkill according to Epic's own recommendations, and his existing desktop would continue to work fine. From the UE4 documentation:

John continues to believe that having better hardware will magically turn him into the gamedev superstar he always wanted to be. In reality, it would just end up collecting dust like every other project he's abandoned.

I am about 90% certain my personal, less than $1,000 dollar machine can handle UE4 looking at those specs.

John would blow my entire budget on the fucking keyboard and mouse.

That's how gaming brands sell internal components and external peripherals to spoiled early teens to play Fortnite on.

If John actually was competent at all he would be using CaaS service to lease workstation grade hardware from a company like HP instead of wasting your own time and money building and doing your own technical support.

Wow, that's pretty impressive. Considering how much auto-culling there is in both software and hardware anymore you really need to work at it to achieve that.

It gets worse than almost everything being made up of double sided polygons. They are also largely made up of individual triangles that shares few if any vertices with the triangles they are (supposed to be) connected to. Pressing "merge" in Maya to merge vertices that share the same position drops the stupid gun from 3,400 to 1,060 vertices used and lowered the number of edges by 1/3rd.

As a result of all the vertices it's also an orgy of unnecessary normals. Pictures from a previous post, it's the same object in both pictures.

I can't wait until he's ranting about not being to go out because of all the gamegate Trump-hired snipers and ninja assassins lying in wait outside his house.
Now I really want to put Wu and SecretGamerGrrl together somewhere just so the groups that target them team up to get the job done. Can you imagine it?

"The roaming gang of rapist lesbian ninja sniper assassins were dispatched by Glinner and 8chan to stalk and murder our plucky heroines."

Yea shoot a shotgun off in your residential neighborhood n see how that goes for ya

Maybe John intends to take off Frank's so he can go crazy and swallow them whole into his gaping maw, like that Jet Li movie Unleashed.

Today in BriBri spends Frank's money on dumb shit news:

From what I can tell from this dude's other listings, he's selling the painted miniatures for something like a 500% markup over the list price of the unpainted ones. We knew Wu was spending ridiculous amounts on this game that she's never going to play with anyone except Frank, but now you can take your estimates and multiply them by 5.

There always has to be some shortcut with Wu, some way to buy what other people achieve with effort and patience. Ultimately that'll be why Wu'll die without ever having achieved a single thing in her whole stupid life.[/SPOILER]

You plan on strangling them with your bare hands or what, John?

Yes, John, hunting anything on your own property is legal in Mississippi, as long as the game is in season and as long as you have a license. (The only exception is that you can hunt on your own land without a license if your name is on the property deed; other family members still need a license. And no one can hunt anything anywhere if the game, including turkeys, is out of season.)

Moron.

Well you are right about one thing, John.

Ew. What the fuck? What version of UE4 is this? It looks super dated. And who uses anything other than Unreal in dark mode? Isn’t it dark by default?
Also, what constitutes “hacking” in this instance? Frantically spamming the same 3 passwords he always uses while screaming at Frank to call Apple support?
I have so many questions.

Shit, I can't believe I glossed over that when I was totaling up the cost of John's autism before. I think I just assumed they came pre-painted and forgot to look at the pictures on Fantasy Flight Games' website to see that no, they're unpainted. I could tell that he bought the unofficial terrain pieces pre-painted, but I glossed over the actual figurines.

Since I already did the legwork before, let me do an updated total, assuming each figurine set costs five times as much:
Basic Stuff:
Core Set: $450 (he may or may not have gotten these painted for him, I'm just going to assume he did)
Extra Dice Pack: $15
Desert Junkyard/Ruins Game Mats: $80 (two mats, $40 each)

Imperial:
Krennic: $65
Death Troopers: $125
TX-225 Occupier Tank: $300 (it won't surprise you that John misspelled it)
Shoretroopers: $150

Rebels:
Jyn Erso: $65
Landspeeder: $250
Tauntauns 2x: $250

Scenery/Terrain Pieces, from Legion Terrain (all prices pre-painted because of course they didn't paint these themselves):
Downed AT-AT: $137
TIE Fighter: $30
X-Wing: $30
Rebel Hideout: $55
Tractor Beam Set: $45
Com-Tower Set 2x: $140
Walkway: $10
Again, gonna throw in another $50 for anything I might have missed (actually $250 because of the multiplier), and the new grand total for John's autism is a whopping $2447. Once again, a real man of the people.

At some point I might dig back to when he was showing off his Star Wars Armada collection, the more expensive cousin of the X-Wing game, and see how much he spent on that. I know he bought the Super Star Destroyer at least, which costs $200 on its own. No doubt he made Frank buy it because it's the most expensive ship in the game.

Why would anyone even admit to being such a shitty, pleb-tier casual as to pay 5x retail price for someone else to paint this shit for you? That's just fucking embarrassing and John should kill himself.

I think after five and a half years of being on the farms' radar, over 4600 pages of discussion spanning three threads, and an entire subforum dedicated to his shenanigans, one thing is patently clear: John has no idea of the concept of shame. He can't fathom how basically anything that comes out of his mouth makes him look stupid, obnoxious, out-of-touch, disgusting, or any combination of these. That's part of what makes him a great cow, completely oblivious to how awful he looks and repeating the same dumb mistakes over and over again.

Can you imagine John attempting to paint these figures himself? He'd probably make any of the images from the old "thin your paints" /tg/ meme look like masterworks.

I have so many questions.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about Unreal.
That being said, the title bar for the cmd window that's open indicates it's UDK 2015-01. Best I can tell, 2015-02 was the last version of UDK released... in 2015. So, not even using the last version of a 5 year old program. I think that means it's UE3? Yeah, looks like UDK was only for UE3 and support has been dropped in favor of UE4.
