Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

A re-open is fine just wear a fucking mask and don't be a tard, wash your hands. Its really just basic shit, Concepts like bars, concerts and sporting events need to be eliminated for the time being buy your booze and drink at home and watch it on TV.
You're missing the part where the UN/NGOs/Left/Bill Gates will keep the world hostage until we surrender our privacy and bodily autonomy forever.
And this was Brownsville, Brooklyn this weekend: every Karen is shuddering in fear but will stay silent because that's racist while the mayor waffles on sending the NYPD to round up every Shaniqua and Tyrone that defied him.

It's over, the mayor and governor just don't realize it yet.

I don't know maybe you are right but this thread is getting way too Illuminati-Esque I think Americans just have major distrust of their government (I don't blame them) but assuming the rest of the worlds take on the situation is wrong seems exceptional to me.

Guess I'm supposed to be impressed. I'm not.

Check this out.

“We make one change, watch the indicators, and when we haven’t seen that uptick, then we take the next step and then we watch again,” said Dr. Sara Cody, the county’s health officer.

The new protocol for reopened businesses limits the number of employees to one for every 300 square feet of space. Retailers will have to post signs at their entrances saying they are complying with the new guidelines.

“Everyone who is out in public should always be covering their face” except for young children and people with medical conditions that make wearing masks unsafe, Cody said. “It is an urgent recommendation. It is an expectation. We hope it becomes a new social norm.”

FUCK! YOU! BITCH! Take the masks and shove them straight up your twat!

I’m sure they do hope it becomes a “new social norm”. Right along with all the increased burglaries and assaults and other crimes happening in cities after releasing all those “non-violent” offenders cause of fear of the coof. Remember when covering your face with a mask was criminal in some places? 🤔

In practice, KKKalifornia businesses are not really enforcing the mask "laws." Costco is the exception thus far.

I know I've posted this card before, but I'm going to try presenting it to at least 3 Costcos. Will report on whether or not it works. (And just so I don't get mobbed by the Twitterati, I won't videotape the event nor will I make a fuss if rejected).

The federal benefit in the US is +$600 a week, yeah?

Even before my Unemployment benefits, I'd be making more money doing that than working. Add on the UI payment, and I'd be doing much better on unemployment -- and not have to actually work, to boot. I could be further ahead financially being on UI and get paid to shitpost on the farms and twitter all day.
That's the sad thing. With news of the $600 Federal add-on, Unemployment suddenly became more attractive than working for a large number of people. As I probably said before, I can understand making people whole during a period of unemployment that may last indefinitely through nobody's fault. However, It would have been better to cap unemployment benefits at say 90-95% of one's weekly wages (definitely not more than 100%) to strike a balance between helping claimants pay bills during the pandemic-induced joblessness and enough of a disincentive that encourages them to go back to work when recalled as opposed to wanting to remain on unemployment for as long as possible.

I know every state is different but I found this from New Jersey. Refusing to work because you are scared of covid-19 will result in loss of benefits.
Doing some digging, I found a PDF that states anyone refusing work in Michigan is disqualified and loses up to 13 weeks in future benefits unless they requalify. While a claimant could argue that going back to work would pose a safety risk, they might have the burden of proof to show that their employer is not following safety procedures. Even with COVID-19 being a concern, I'd like to think this would be an uphill battle at best. Unfortunately, claimants occasionally get justified denials overturned.

The proposed UBI law here in spain also has that specific term saying if you get caught rejecting jobs while on it you will loose your UBI benefits... USA would be really stupid not to add it. And your politicians may be quite tardy at times, but I think the republicans already noticed.
I doubt any UBI that ever got awarded in the US would include a work requirement. At one point, President Trump wanted to reform welfare by including minimal requirements of work or education/training -- with generous exceptions -- for most recipients in return for benefits. In response, activists REEd that such requirements were unreasonable and filed lawsuits to block those requirements. Here, UBI would be one step towards the continued dumbing down of America. The Democrats would rather reward NEETS than those with a work ethic. *sigh*

Ms. Huff has indeed a cease-and-desist order, and is praying and consulting her lawyer on what to do now.
While I feel for anyone who is ineligible for financial assistance and has zero money coming in right now, the most horrifying part of that article was this quote:
CeleryStallks' Cited Article said:
Despite the mounting unrest in her state, Whitmer has held firm on her stay-at-home orders – telling ABC’s “The View” on Wednesday that the protests make it more likely that her orders will have to be extended past the May 28 deadline.
Unless there are COVID-19 cases directly traceable to anyone protesting, why does any part of the state need further extension of the stay at home orders solely because people exercised their right to protest 🤬? Whitmer's response comes across more as a butt-hurt, vengeful response to the protests and less of a reasonable plan of action for one or more regions of the state -- especially in light of both the recent graphic posted here showing Michigan may already be on a downward turn and the case and death rates specific to my area. (:_(

They seem to be doing so in the CA area where I shop. Haven't been to Costco in several weeks. Simply not worth my self-respect to put up with their shit to buy things I don't really need. Only need one thing from Costco that I cannot get on base or online.

@deeplyhigh - The credit union I presently use used to be very hard over re masks, hats, and sunglasses. I wear glasses that darken in the light and lighten up inside. Some dumb twat at that credit union used to try to get me to take my glasses off while they were still dark. Told her no. She repeated her idiocy. Complained to the management. No further problems, haven't seen her again. The only people wearing masks when this bullshit is over will be those with a medical need and the male and female Karens. I sure as hell won't be wearing a mask. Neither will most people, and they'll the Karens to fuck off.

@Kiwi Lime Pie - I hear you re the unemployment compensation. However, if you live in a very expensive area like ours and work in hospitality, a major employer, that extra $600/week is a godsend. Rents here are very high. Shit, everything here except bullshit from the government is expensive. Can assure you that extra money is put to good use paying rent, buying food, etc. In lower-cost areas, the extra money may be a little excessive. But if Congress can drop billions on corporations crying poor-mouth due to the ChiCom Flu, and blow six trillion dollars on two Middle East wars that have gained us nothing, I don't sweat providing a little extra cash to needy Americans.

I hate to burst your bubble, but it won't work. The ADA doesn't work like that. This is literally sovcit stuff.

However, it might just freak out some stores, so, I'd say go for it. Worst case scenario is they refuse.

Want the mask usage to stop? Or start?

Bright red Make America Great Again Masks. $20 for a 100 pack on donaldjtrump.com. The Karens won't be able to demand we all stop wearing them fast enough.

Do you americans have a choice on things or do you not have any rights like Canada? Sounds like you should do something about it.

The REFUGEES can't go back home because of CORONA? See. I seem to have read at some point about the exiles from the civil war. And maybe I'm wrong but for some reason, don't ask me why, I seem to recall the reason they couldn't come back was THE REGIME. You know. The thing they fled to begin with? That fucking thing?!

Refugees that fled their countries for fear of bad things that will happen if they are there are upset they can't go back to vacation in the very same countries they fled out of fear bad things will happen to them.

I am confused.

Seems to me these refugees act an awful lot like economic migrants. And hey, nothing wrong with migrating. So long as it's done LEGALLY. But I believe disguising migration as asylum is called fraud. Why is sweeden not persecuting any refugee stupid enough to go back home for christmass again?!

Because Sweden wants that sweet Somalian cock deep in its ass.
