I don't want him to fail exactly. I'm not sitting here waiting for the day Phil has to leave twitch and is gone forever. Lolcows are meant to be laughed at, but for the first time in a long time, there's really nothing funny here. That's my point. As for phil sitting here at 70 years old with a vest and gunnar glasses, after everything that's happened this year, you really gonna sit there and tell me you can't see that happening?
at this rate Null will be arrested for terrorism and Kiwifarms will be shut down before Phil even thinks about having to get a job. man truly is the king.
I agree wholeheartedly. Following Phil is just not fun anymore. Yeah, he's still a loser and a beggar. But pretty much all things that have been lately happening related to him have been positive.
The negative ones, like the fact that he's spent thousands in a gacha while crying poor, just pass through as if it doesn't matter.
He faces no consequences for his bad decisions. Have more than a dozen credit cards and spend money you don't have? Debt discharged.
Lie in your bankruptcy forms and propose to talk behind the scenes with a supposed creditor? Chapter 7 approved without having to sell anything.
Say you'd slap the shit out of a little girl and call her a bitch on stream? Suspended for a few days.
Say that a viewer can jump off a cliff? Pressure viewers into donating money to you? And all other times in which he blatantly broke twitch's TOS. Doesn't matter, nothing happens.
It's like watching a badly written movie with a Gary Stu protagonist, except instead of the protagonist being cool and handsome, he's a a fat, old and greasy beggar.
I believe I'll only get interested in following Phil closely again if either one of these two things happens:
1. A person with a large following gets outraged with him and goes after him, asking for his head to twitch. Highly unlikely, since he keeps a low profile.
2. Divorce. Unlike many people here, I don't think this is very likely. I believe Khet is as immoral and unscrupulous as Phil, so they're a match made in hell and will probably not part ways any time soon.
So yeah. Unless we losing interest in him makes his fans also disinterested in him, he won. For the time being, at least. I find it hard to believe that he'll be 50 years old and still streaming full time, but who knows.
