Imagine being a YouTuber that makes edgy content. The adpocalypses happens and all your content is demonitized. Thankfully, companies like Raycon, NordVPN, and whoever makes Raid Shadow Legends allow you to continue making YouTube videos for a living by giving you money for ad reads.

Then, H3H3 directs his fans to go after G-Fuel because they sponsor Keemstar. This creates a precedent that, if people don't like a YouTuber, they can go after their sponsors and have them dropped.

Keem will be fine, but now there's a group of kids that now know complaining to sponsors works and will use that first when going after a creator they don't like.

I'd be pissed at Ethan.

I don't even have a pony in that race and want him strung up by his balls just for that. Cancel culture is so gay.

Some of the tweets were fake and what I am gathering from this story is that Keemstar was friends with the people and this video was a joke. Don't know the whole story but there seems to be videos of him playing with SoaR, but don't know who is who. Here is the video of him doing commentary over their trickshots with them a year after that drama alert was made. The Pro-H3h3 side really should do some more research.

Some docs are very serious about whether or not the person meets the actual criteria for involuntary commitment due to ethical reasons, others play with bullshit because they know it's highly unlikely they would be successfully sued in their state. I've seen some people write a suicide note in the morning, go to the ER a few hours later, say they aren't going to act on it, and they're let out immediately because they aren't an immediate threat. Conversely, I've seen people with similar histories get brought in because they wrote a suicide note a few days prior, say they aren't going to act on it, then they'll hold on to them for as long as possible without a court order, and then they get charged a few thousand bucks for the days they were kept there. The other issue is that the care itself can be fairly questionable, especially for someone like Etika.

Well, if the points about Etika + going after sponsors was already enough to get other large YouTubers raising their concerns, deplatforming Keem would do far more harm to Ethan's reputation than good for the platform as a whole. Sure you'll still have a ton of fans championing him as "the guy that slain the evil Keemstar", yet he'll also be known as "the guy that gets people removed from YouTube over petty beef." I don't think it's a shit take, necessarily. maybe just a bit optimistic. he's a popular enough creator that people would still associate with him, and keem is hated near universally. personally, if this was directed at a better-liked creator, I'd agree.
