Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

Man, is it just me or has the left been more ornery than usual this month?

What the hell crawled up their asses?

They see the calendar edging more and more near to November and its making them grow antsy, plus America hasn't completely collapsed into a hellscape devoid of life like they were hoping because this whole lockdown fiasco gave them the perfect opportunity to actually hurt Trump by tanking the economy that he has bragged about so often. Yeah Americans are out of work and some could die as a result or be left in serious financial trouble but we gotta own Orange Man and if that means crashing the entire goddamn thing and keeping this lockdown going until November then so be it!!

I literally don't understand the raging anger around increased infected numbers brought about by increased testing. Sure it would be nice if the numbers went down, but increased testing is just showing a more accurate picture of reality. They act like if people weren't tested they wouldn't have been infected, they would still have been sick but just without anyone knowing until symptoms got really noticeable. Of course, they'd complain just as much if they didn't ramp up testing and numbers stayed low.

Gives me a very similar feel to all those anti-vax parents that are obsessed with the rising rates of autism. It just shows that testing has become better and more widespread that people who would have previously gone undiagnosed and fallen through the cracks are now being found.

I honestly don't get these people (TDS sufferers) because they don't make any sense from my point of view. Their view of reality is so different from my own that it's sometimes hard to follow what they're talking about. Similar to that feeling you get when you and a friend watch the same movie yet arrive at widely different conclusions around "the message" being conveyed. Usually, you and your friend can give solid evidence based on the movie and even if you can't come to an agreement over everything due to differences in interpretation you understand that both sides were actively engaging/analyzing the movie. Except in the case of TDS people when they start explaining the "plot" or "character motivations" it sounds like they had seen an entirely different movie nothing like what you just saw.
They've been indoctrinated their entire lives. They're from California or NYC, they went to liberal private schools, progressive universities, and all they know comes from the post-modern playbook. Some of them are true believers and useful idiots, but the few at the top, the Nancy Pelosi types, are the ones making use of the useful idiots. They're the ones using Rules for Radicals to get power and up until November 8, 2016 they've been winning.

Edit: the indoctrinated have been assaulted since birth by fearmongering. The world is always going to end in 10 years, the Republicans want to make you slaves, the Republicans hate women/blacks/Jews/gays, and the only way to stop them is to vote for us.

This Modern World is absolutely NOT parody.

He thinks that's a valid political comic.

He thinks he's making a salient point and influencing readers.

He's so far gone that even when I was deep in the bubble I couldn't even get into him.

Here's DailyKOS's Comics Category. https://www.dailykos.com/blog/Comics

And here, went I went to archive it, is a 7 year old archive I think I actually made back in the day. I remember a few of these comics from my time in the bubble, so lets take a quick peek, shall we? https://archive.vn/gx81k

GAAAZE into early 2013, when the fucking left was just starting to fall down the slippery slope.

Here's Animal Nuz, which is a satirical news comic. Only with animals instead of people.

DO YOU GET IT? Republicans are EVIL MONSTERS who are LITERALLY PLOTTING TO SLAUGHTER CHILDREN, because they need to top their current evils of RACISM, TAX EVASION, GAY-BASHING, VOTER-SUPPRESSION, POLLUTING, AND EVEN RAPE! (Note: "Slaughter Children" means "Refuse to allow Obama and Pelosi to effectively repeal the 2nd Amendment.")

Here's Wuerker suggesting the Filibuster is a disgusting blob of a monster that does nothing but stop the senate from doing it's job.

Ain't hindsight a BITCH, Democrats?

There's Tom the Dancing Bug, ranting about Zero Dark Thirty, and how other oscar-nominated films also supported torture.

Fun fact: Literally AS THIS COMIC WAS BEING POSTED in 2013, Obama was killing US Citizens without a trial with drone strikes. And hospitals. And charities. And children. And churches. And shoving brown children in cages. But none of that matters because he is the dindu king, and can do no wrong.

Here is Brian McFadden, which I never even tried to read.

It's hard to read but also literally missing from the web, but the punchline is "Republicans are spoiled babies, especially that goddamned Speaker of the House, who refuses to give Obama everything he wants." McFadden, apparently, ended up on GoComics eventually.

He's just as insufferable as the rest of them.

Here's Jen Sorenson, who you might think is Matt Bors, but isn't.

View attachment 1309322

The punchline is "guns are scary and I wet myself, please take away my civil rights."

And here's Keef Knight, who I only really remember as a blog in comic form.

And not to be outdone, here's Matt Bors, who you might think is Jen Sorenson, but isn't.

The punchline is "guns are scary and I wet myself, please take away my civil rights." Oh, and "Only complete monsters use pattern recognition to realize Muslims are fucking violent terrorists."

And finally, here's our good buddy Tom Tomorrow.

The woodchuck character is meant to represent the evil and vile CALM AND RATIONAL CENTRIST who refused to accept Tom's author insert Sparky's repeated and incessant demands that the politicians allow the left, especially King Dindu, to do whatever they wanted all the time every time.

In hindsight, it was never Trump Derangement Syndrome. They're just plain fucking Deranged.
Good god. More words than a Bum Tickley comic. How do people read this shit? "Lets take a visual medium meant to be quick and comedic and turn it into a novel with funny looking characters standing around."

Part of it is "they are wired that way by nature." Part of it is "their experiences." (Or lack thereof.)

There will always be an excuse to stay thinking the same, keeping the same habits, etc.

It was also good because it meant Biden didn't have to campaign, thus less gaffes.

It's interesting, the situation the Democrat leadership is in. They have a candidate who's won a pretty nasty primary election, and is their best bet out of the bunch to defeat Donald Trump. But his condition is not good and getting worse. This would become very apparent if Biden were actually being forced to campaign in person. So the covid shutdown probably seemed like a gift to his campaign, at least at first. It has allowed Biden to avoid all of that strain and the resulting gaffes and mental slips. It allowed them the kick the can of his mental condition down the road. There's a bunch of problems with that, though, that are now becoming clear. One of them is that the longer this state of affairs goes on, the worse it's going to be for them when they finally are forced to address it. They can't hide Biden forever.

Mostly agree. All this pandemic has done for them is extend his shelf life. When Biden is finally forced to come out of the shadow it'll be too late.

Where I disagree is that it wasn't a nasty primary. No one ever called out Pocahontas for her race history. No one ever called out Biden for Hunter's shadiness. The only real blow landed in the whole primary was Tulsi on Kamala and we all saw how lethal that was. It was there for the taking.

Literally the pot calling the kettle black. How the fuck do you think you are going to enforce that law when the enforcer of federal laws literally is perfectly within his purview to come to Michigan for any reason within the scope of the law, whether it's to skull fuck your ghoulish governor or to start a rally of 20,000 people?

Try to stop POTUS from entering a state in the nation he is in charge of, and see how fast that gets slapped down. I dare you.
The blue states have openly created a league for such an eventuality a couple months ago. They claim it's just for distributing Wu Flu masks, but it's clearly an attempt to create a secondary federal government so they can ignore those evil Republicans and their pesky laws. I'm sure they'll start spinning a narrative about how the US electoral system is rigged in favour of Republicans due to the Electoral College and the Senate, and that every dirty trick pulled by the DNC and their buddies in media &c was only to counteract this, and launch a campaign for a proportional representation voting system, like all the European cool kids have.
