Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

To be fair He-Man 2002 reboot had more boyish Adam and it worked just fine. Actually made more sense that secret identity being secret in there than the orginal.

I mean, at least you can tell he's a young man. And he's still barbarian-looking and carries himself in a fight. The art I posted is just 'pretty effeminate boy #1832987443" which totally misses the point of He-Man just by that one simple step. It's even in his damn name. It's He-Man, not She-Boy.

Apparently, this is "normal" fanart of Sigmund and Kyle from Fanboy and Chum Chum that I found on Instagram...

But one takes a big closer look at Kyle's jacket:

What's this? A badge whose acronyms that stand for "all cops are bastards"? And gay pride and transgender pride pins? Damn.

I wonder what these tumblrites what think of the 2002 He-man series?

to be fair, iirc Kyle was always seen as that edgy, outcast, kid.

I mean, it's a very fast character. Clearly, it must be Sonic the Hedgejogger.

Also, what's up with SJWs using pins for everything? Is it because they don't want all those garish flag colors overruling the garish colors they're already using on their OCs?
So they can annoy the public even without having to come out of their timid bubbles.

Because they wanna be like JK Rowling and be all like "x character is El-Gee-Bee-Tee uwu" without having to prove it.

It's a mix of "ooh pretty colors" (anyone remember scene?), virtue signalling, and of course, autism. They're just mirroring what tumblr has taught them; sexuality labels are a way to make yourself seem cooler, so they put these identities onto themselves and then project super hard onto fictional characters under the guise of "representation". Pride flags are an aesthetic to people, but kinnies will deny this and say it's about sociopolitical identities or something.

More concicesly, they do it to signal to other kinnies what sexuality they're projecting onto the character, because sexuality and gender labels are everything in kinnie circles.
Edit: Also the denim jackets with a shit-ton of pins on them are a factor too.

I actually really dig this piece, gender bullshit notwithstanding. CJ looks perfectly normal and Flick is good from the neck down. It does feel a little bit like the artist is trying REALLY hard to give their style energy and a distinct aesthetic to it, but I can't fault them for that because that's the objective of virtually every Tumblr/Tumblr-type artist ever. I like it because it feels like the artist behind this draws inspiration from more than just anime prettyboys/schoolgirls and hipster fashion labels, which is what like 90% of Tumblr-y artists draw inspiration from.

Seriously, I can't stand the omnipresence of that kitschy, muddy-colored quasi-kawaii aesthetic among online art circles. While artists who prefer a more grimy aesthetic can definitely go a bit too far in the other direction, I appreciate the change of pace their art offers from all that uwu softboy nonsense. Take this piece for example:
Is it better than Fashion Model Traced Over To Resemble Anime Twink No. 387 just because of the cruder aesthetic? No. It's actually a little too unconventional for its own good, with ugly features being utilized but not depicted in a way that won't easily turn the viewer off from the aesthetic. Had the artist not utilized typical Tumblr-y art tropes (eg. spiky rainbow hair, bearded or otherwise completely un-feminine women, everyone being a unique shade of brown, etc), toned down the excessive details and fine-tuned the color palette, it'd probably provoke less digust from the people in this thread. Really, you can say that about most of the art in here.

Apologies for the above autism, I'm a massive sperg about art styles/influences and I tend to get verbose when I really want to talk about something. Also I'd much rather talk about the aesthetic choices and influences SJW-type artists gravitate towards than gawk at Brownwashed Waifu Waving A Trans Flag No. 8473 and make the same revelations about Tumblr artists that someone else makes on every other page. Keeps the thread fresh.
