Steven Universe color palettes and Sonicfox's fursona. What a great update.
Pretty sure you need a PS3 or 360 for MvC2 online. I don't think you can buy it either.Good to know that SonicFox will make something like this as the forefront of a patch, and not the underlying thing that is "Skullgirls hasn't had any meaningful content in years and hasn't added new characters for that long and also shills the mobile game", on top of how shitty Lab Zero works on their two games.
I don't think so. It's only the talk of the town because of EVO Online. I've got my own gripes with EVO Online such as "Why let in 5 games with delay based netcode and not even try to attempt to bring in MVC2 or UMVC3"*, and "What platform will this be played on considering crossplay isn't available on most of these games if none at all except one?" but they brought in MK11 after backlash due to it being absent at first. Skullgirls, just like Fighting Herds, was added due to its netcode. Killer Instinct was added because, tin foil hat theory, Microsoft wants to engage in some interest gathering. But back on Skullgirls. It's not been a popular game. Even hardcore fighting game players are turned off by it becausee of Mike Zaimont, and his assinine choicees for the game and the weird mechanics. The game was pretty much him saying "Marvel vs Capcom 3 sucks, I'll make something better." On top of that, the severed ties to the loyals thanks to Indivisible made people have disdain for him. And if that wasn't enough, Alex Ahad, the REAL creator of Skullgirls and the art director, was let go in 2018, which definitely caused the delay for Indivisible AGAIN.
Long story short: Skullgirls has had huge internal fuck ups that has caused the player base to grow distant and not want to play anymore.
Skullgirls doesn't have a playerbase anymore. On Steam, it hasn't hit its peak player base since June 2015 (two years after PC launch) and it's never gotten 1000 since.
*the branding of EVO 2020 has put Marvel VS Capcom 2 in the forefront due to it being one of the most popular games at EVO since its inception, and to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
