IMO you're way overthinking this. It seems like Ralph is easiest to deal with if you don't try to "win" a friendly fire engagement with him, so just get outta the way of the guntnado and there's a good chance he made himself look like an ass in the process.

Thinking about dealing with people like the gunt when he's on an abusive streak is helpful when you apply an hourly rate to it.
