While of course DSP cannot and has never done anything wrong, he still has to respond to new people coming into his streams with "I'm not THAT GUY anymore, I've CHANGED!" and chief among his examples of how he's changed are
"I don't say edgy racist or sexist things dood!" Instead of ogling da boobeez he stands on a soapbox about how he has a wife who he respects and loves.
So maybe he decided to respond to criticisms by taking himself to the other furthest possible extreme? I don't know, it's fucking weird how he makes it clear that he's "matured over the years" yet has never needed to change what he's been doing all this time.
I still say the smartest thing DSP should've and can still do is just shut the fuck up during cutscenes.

What is really confusing is how short of a period of time ago that "Old DSP" existed and how he's still that guy he's just not aware of when he is being that guy. Dude has the self awareness functionality of an exceptional rock.

Not to mention, SJW's are more or less committed to whatever their cause is. <--- changes based on today's newly perceived "offense"--- DSP doesn't really stand for anything. He flip flops so much on issues that anything outside of sperging about gamed bugged mechanics are best ignored. He'll ride a bandwagon train of thought for like 5 minutes and "doesn't want to derail the stream." I won't even call him a centrist, since that would practically be a compliment relative to his fair-weather politics and social commentary (which is a laugh since the word social pretty much serves as the antithesis of Phil).

I suspect it's 50% that, and 50% insecurities, based on how he has expanded these opinions to include relationships in general in video games. He explained that, unless it was part of the story, he would not go 'out of his way' to pursue relationship plot lines in any games, regardless of content. Crucially, Phil also implied Kat would do the same. This was partly proven a lie when he demonstrated with FF7 that he actually doesn't even want to see romance when it's part of the plot.

My theory here is that Leanna cheated on Phil, or at the very least, started seeing someone while she was still living with Phil after they broke up. Phil has alluded to this possibility a couple of times. He is also no doubt aware, if Subaru Man is to be believed, that Kat has cheated in the past because she cheated with Phil. Phil has probably tried to lay out a 'mutual' puritanical structure to their relationship where he swears he will never see even video game women, let alone real women, as anything more than lifeless pixels if Kat will do the same.

Phil's bizarre fixation with the notion that married adults can't even witness a love plot without it being some transgression is because he really wants to establish those boundaries for an 'adult relationship' so Kat doesn't stray like the last one did. Or like Kat did already. I don't know if she's regularly watching his stream, or if it's a desperate need to reinforce it for himself, but this fixation seems way beyond just trying to distance himself from his old branding and has repeatedly crossed into a really uncomfortable obsession.

as far as the uploaded from iphone taken on a desktop thing, i think he's just a boomer and doesn't use desktop twitter out of habit, and doesn't use mobile youtube the same way. so he took the screenshot on his computer, e-mailed it to himself, downloaded the picture and uploaded it to twitter via his phone.

Has anyone any idea where I can find this Copyright Claim page on YouTube, the screenshot Phil posted?
You can dismiss any mobile version or mobile app, it's simply not existing. You have to go to the PC version (or open YouTube in a mobile browser) to find at least the report history.

However mine has no additional categories above to choose from, just 2 videos I seem to have reported at some time (can't show you a screenshot of course). So I'm clearly at the wrong place.

PS: This is one reason for Phil to post a PC screenshot. But why he transports this to his phone when he's logged in pc and mobile is odd. Just odd, I don't think this has a deeper meaning.

It means that Phil is hiding something and that he doesn't know how to use print screen and Microsoft Paint to crop out what he doesn't want his wheelchairs to see. He's the world's laziest propagandist and a pathetic boomer, two things we've known for ages.

As far as the hating women thing, it's part of what in Phil's sheltered mind a 40-year-old male should act like. He's a "family man" now. Why else does he always say detractors are after his "family", not his "wife"? It might seem like no big detail, but he wants to portray himself like he's outside with an axe guarding the wife, four kids, and his elderly mom from roaming packs of Tevins (when if we're being completely honest he lives with one indifferent person and a really indifferent cat). But as a family man, in his socially awkward mind he also can't notice if a woman is attractive. It's not an SJW thing but his twisted interpretation of "adulthood". In reality this great protector of women views his mom as a source of loans, Kat as a maid, and every other woman as a video game slut.

I think it's a little of both. I absolutely agree that a large part of it is his "Real Adult" LARP he's been doing for years, but I also think this is what he thinks of when he says "I've changed and matured over the years guys". By the way any of the older watchers know how long he's been saying that he matured? I can just see him saying that like 4-6 years ago and just continually retconning to pretend he's evolved when really he's just the same jackass saying the same shit and the only real reason he isn't so offensive in his commentary anymore is because Twitch put the fear of the ban hammer in to him.

Also just watching Phil's Tifa rant. He starts with "what purpose does she serve in the story", this motherfucker has never played Final Fantasy VII all the way through and that makes it final. Anyone who got to disc 3 knows what Tifa's role in the story is (and it's the same that it was at the start, she's the best friend who's always there for Cloud and at his darkest point saves him for those who don't know). What an ass clown.

I think the reason is as simple as that's what he got caught rubbing one out to. He loves pixel boobies. Any sign of them is temptation to do it again.
