"Where are the fat girls in Startrek?" Given the radical ability to reconstruct your body in the Federation - the only people who would be anything other than ‘fit’ would be people who chose to look that way.
I have seen similar arguments from other types of self-described disability activists, though I cannot find specific examples right now --- like, if science fiction imagines a future society where deafness is easily curable so everyone enjoys the full human range of hearing, certain "deaf activists" will not respond by saying "That would be great, if medical science can fix anything that's broken"; instead, they respond by ranting, like, "You're saying the ideal society is one where people like me are EXTINCT?‽"
So, yeah -- it's pretty telling that this food addict would watch Star Trek and think "People like me wouldn't exist in Starfleet" rather than "Wow, people like me wouldn't be so morbidly obese in Starfleet!"
Next up: teens with bad acne express outrage over noticing Starfleet has apparently discovered the cure for pimples. "Where are the pizzafaces in Star Trek? Why do people in the 24th century commit genocide against people like me?"
