To be honest, Josh hit back as much as he had to. Most people interested in a confrontation between the two probably already know all the public dirt on both of them anyway, making a tit-for-tat pissing match pointless. As much as anybody else's opinion matters, they heard Ralph sounding frantic while Josh sounded indifferent. That kind of thing makes more of an impression than the details ever do.
Anyway the dirt that Ralph threw at Josh was mostly about complications Josh has run into as a result of running this forum and being involved with chan sites. Like oh he can't live in America, big deal, there's an explanation for that. Nothing he had on Josh was anything more than a reflection on Josh's circumstances. The worst he really had on him was a result of Josh oversharing and not anything that reflects on how Josh is as a person.
Now, compare everything Ralph said about Josh to the sustained, horrific reality of Ralph's own existence. What does Ralph really have on anybody when that is taken into account? You just have to look at him, look at his gunt, look at his pitiful relationships both with women and with friends, look at his prospects, look at his lifestyle. There's nothing there that's like a temporary setback. It's his being.
Ralph can throw out whatever dirt he likes, with as much gusto as he can muster, but after the dust settles he'll still be Ethan Ralph, and his opponent will have the good fortune to not be Ethan Ralph. Ralph has to return to the bottle no matter how he comes off looking in a fight. Josh doesn't.
