Deletion wouldn’t be surprising, given the public reactions in the past to Kroll’s responses to police killings and subsequent riots. Haven’t seen any statements from him or the union since this began though.

Rioting started again a few hours ago too. More rocks, breaking into the liquor store.

Gatherings larger than 10 are currently in violation of the governor’s order, but Mayor Frey told the public they could protest and he understands.

Except that one can be white and still not be white trash. One cannot be black and still not be the n-word (as per its definition).

"White trash" isn't even racist to white people because it implies you have to specify that trash is white because it usually isn't, unlike other races.

Teargas will fuck you up whether you have a flimsy surgical mask on or not. The only real way to protect against tear gas is to have a full facemask covering that protects everything, including your eyes, and an independent oxygen filter/supply. The surgical masks and the N95 masks people are wearing for "protection" from covid will do shit all against tear gas except maybe trap particles of the gas inside with your mouth and nose so you get a more consistent dose.

My recollection from the Ferguson riots and listening to/watching the chaos unfold on TV was that the police during that were using some new sort of tear gas that bypassed the CNN reporters' gas masks, too. I mean it was CNN, but still.

Honestly I have to agree with the Ivan guy all in all
I care about this incident as much as blacks care about the hundreds of innocent whites killed by blacks every year
Which is to say I don't care at all and its annoying when someone makes a big deal out of it. Maybe the guy was completely innocent and its an entirely undeserved death, oh well. I've never seen blacks speak out about undeserved white deaths at the hands of blacks, so why should I for them?

I hadn't heard anything about "new" tear gas since the 90s but it is entirely possible they have some that is a refined aerosol spray using more effective dispersal. Or it could have just been a matter of saturation since they were using it so much in Ferguson. With tear gas or any kind of chemical irritant, unless you have a self contained supply of oxygen and a good sealing mask, it will eventually get through a filter mask. To be completely safe for a length of time you'd need a setup comparable to what firemen use to keep from breathing in smoke. Anything less, even with a top of the line filter mask, your goal should be to relocate rather than continue working in the same spot - tear gas makes you feel like you're going to puke/cough your lungs up and everything feels like it has steel wool in it - not necessarily just straight up burning, that's pepper gas, but like everything you touch and breathe feels abrasive and irritating.
