Now that Sessions is down in the polls he’s come around to asking Tuberville to debate (which he apparently was against doing when he felt ahead) and Tubby doesn’t care to give Sessions the extra attention now.

It looks like Trump is going to be doing an executive order today about social media.

Based on the draft:
  • Section 1: Just a summary of being pro-free speech and how social media is the public square.
  • Section 2: Will be they'll have the FCC 'clarify' that in order to be within the bounds of section 230 (guards them from being considered a publisher or whatever), that they can't be judged to have been deceptive, pretextual, or inconsistent with their own terms of service.
  • Section 3: It'll also be prohibiting federal tax dollars being spent on advertising for online platforms that violate free speech principles.
  • Section 4: A federal review of unfair or deceptive practices will be conducted due to social media being "the modern public square". With the FTC being ordered to consider taking action as appropriate to prohibit these deceptive or unfair practices within these entities.
  • Section 5: The attorney general will establish a group to look into using statutes to prohibit sites from these deceptive acts.
Looks kinda cool if they're going to start having the FCC treat the unfair suspensions and dishonest fact check additions as deceptive business practices.

This is clearly a very consistent and rational stance that is in no way hypocritical.

Also, Trump supposedly flying on Epstein's plane once is super duper relevant but Bill Clinton being a regular on it is not worth paying attention to.
