I never understood the logic involved in this shit.

Black guy gets killed by police - in this case, quite obviously murder - so in response you destroy your own neighborhoods.

I have a hard time believing people who are smashing up shops, setting cars on fire and generally just looting actually give a rat's arse about anything - they're just looking for an excuse to riot.

Plus, I will be very surprised if these police get off for this. I don't think I've seen anyone take their side, or defend their actions. You've got 4 officers, the guys in cuffs and none of the footage released so far shows violent resistance. You shouldn't pin him by his neck anyway, but at least if he was a threat people might understand.

those are criminal offenses (varies by state i think) and probably enough for a malicious persecutor to create a case against them

According to St. Paul police band car collision behind LA Fitness. Car t-boned with pregnant female inside. Officers also pinned down at Target and crowd hurling bottles etc at them as well as huge fire at discount tire. Sounds like the FD have given up on it and cleared out due to smoke.

ETA: pregnant female has serious head injury.

lets hear it for social justice.

The 1992 riots were not as bad as they could have been because of how spread out LA is. The affluent areas were far removed from what went down. A small city like Minneapolis on the other hand could get absolutely wrecked. The difference between the projects and the million dollar mansions is a 20 minute walk.
