I have to say, EVS has played the purge well. Now he's desperate for YaBoi to grace his show so that the audience calling for Zack can see that Comicsgae is fully united behind Ethan. He doesn't sound hopeful that Zack will nut up.
I guess we'll see in 2-3 days if Zack shows up to close out his Jawbreakers campaign on Ethan's show.
It might just be a coincidence, but Zack chose to go on HeelVsBabyFace's channel for a 3hr livestream to promote his book yesterday. That sort of felt like a message.

I doubt it. Zack's "Ethan, Comicsgate is you" was passive aggressive AF, but I believe Zack is intelligent enough to realize that he needs outreach. Going to a friendly channel that has 2x subscribers (many of which do not know him or CG) is a smart move.
He also said "I don't watch many of my usual channels because of the drama" recently and it clearly shows his beliefs on what is going on. But not going on a live with EVS would be stupid and burning bridges. He is a big dog, has a lot to lose if he goes against EVS (who is his friend and none of the WC are his people) and a lot to gain if he stays on his lane and just pop up in a livestream and be diplomatic.
I wouldn't be surprised if he and EVS talked and YBZ told him to cut the gay ops and stick with Malin (who Zack considers a friend) and EVS is cutting WB loose to keep Zack around.

This is a little tricky, and I think it complicates a lot of things. It certainly questions the future of CG if it follows it's current direction towards closer (or perhaps more open) ties with Dynamite, and also its narrative about fighting the SJWs. It also means @FROG now has to justify his claims that Dynamite are CG-Neutral, when patently they are not.

Man of S3x has been dropping some bombs lately, I can't help but wonder how the rest of the WC guys are taking it. Panboy is clearly against Frog now but Steve Dye went ass-kissing to him, Ro Kabir is unusually quiet. This whole situation seems like a powder-keg ready to explode.

Agreed, JLM has always been a staunch WC guy. If memory serves he was one of the Warcampaign infiltrators attempting to subvert Indiecron before Pixel Traitor and Edwin pulled rank and purged the WC elements within it.

Waid's got the comics media on his side but I'm not sure that's enough clout to make a difference.

I agree with your conclusion, but disagree regarding the reasons so. Comicsgate at its inception is an inherently reactionary consumer movement, formed in opposition to practices and behavior made by the establishment comics industry as well as low-quality product, lack of freedom of expression, etc. Guys like Vox Day are the purest expression of this, trying to form a movement based on extreme right-wing politics in comics as a direct reaction to perceived extreme leftist content in the mainstream. The problem with "reactionary elements" is that while they have the advantage of being chock full of motivation and are easily comprehended, there is no guiding framework to construct consistent and applicable ideas to challenge the existing order with. There is also the additional problem of reactionaries easily slipping into outright tribalism where competing parties fight one another simply because they're parties competing for resources.

Lots of people in Comicsgate who aren't able or interested in taking philosophical stances or working with ideas prefer to show their support by reacting against individuals that oppose their group. But as the inherent contradictions, unanswered questions (like taking over the mainstream after it's already collapsed from COVID) and mutually exclusive positions held by CG figures became harder to avoid, Preston was the one of the last few figures who could provide a distraction for these much more relevant problems. And even then he was one that smarter people in Comicsgate preferred to avoid because of his inconvenient habit of surrounding himself in uncomfortable facts and ideas regarding Comicsgate. But as Micah Curtis once answered when asked why Warcampaign is an asset, he shouted "Man, they named Preston Poulter 'Pocket Pussy'! They put that on him! We need those guys to keep us safe from the enemies at the gate!".

Also Liam is mad at me after me and Frog started hypothesizing about the next supervillain of CG on his show and how we hope it's Liam because that would be entertaining, and is withholding content on his show now because we're not taking Comicsgate seriously. I think we're working it out.

This would have been a Cash Grab I probably would have backed. I don't think the book works well with Cecil as a solo character, as he and Nerkish were a comedy duo and their respective writing styles would have provided more sigh diversity to the book.

I'm also a sucker for Tim Lim's art style and not a big Donal Delay fan tbh.

That's all true but as I understand it there was more going on than that. I'm not sure but I think the idea was to literally take control of Indiecron which was non-profit and turn it into a for profit moneymaker for WarCampaign.

When that failed Ro announced a CGOnly website that was supposed to directly compete with Indiecron. Problem is it's very difficult to compete with free.

It was weird because they were accusing Edwin of being a moneygrubber for the free work he was doing on the site.

If anyone has better info and can correct me if I'm wrong about that please do.

A lot of WC is complaining about Dynamite. Here's the fact. EVS and his cohorts realized they could make more money doing a single pinup splash page to slap on the cover of a shitty Vampirella #1 variant than they could make drawing 20+ pages of actual content.

Notice how almost every major CG artist has done a Vampirella variant cover instead of actually working on a comic. It's more profitable.
Why take 20 commissions when you can draw Vampirella once?
It also allows for easy drama/tard rage purchases without producing anything other than youtube content. "Hey buy my vampirella cover teehee"
It's reprint after reprint of the same shitty comic by Christopher Priest that has been reprinted almost 200k times.
The retards that said variant covers are killing the industry all doing variant covers for the same comic is sweet irony.
Ultimately WC actually delivering products and threatening the status quo of diminishing returns on Vamp #1 by offering a magazine that can be easily printed using short stories and snippets of comics for a variety of creators posed a risk to the "comics gate" Ethan had created with himself the primary arbiter of who is CG and who gets funded.
Ethan couldn't let CG jumpstart happen without losing his stranglehold on power over every pleb vying for paypig money. WC had to go to continue to prop up the non-producers.

Anna TSWG isn't about to draw a 24 page comic book. The only way Ethan can buy the YouTube exposure he needs to maintain his million dollar campaigns is to keep one-shot bought and paid for licensed commission cover work extremely profitable.
