Does anyone have any actual evidence that riots like this create less sympathy for when blacks are killed by police? I always see the claim, but its never backed up.
I can't speak for anyone else, but BLM has a track record of picking the worst test cases, and they and their white liberal stans always default to rioting before any of the facts are in.
Trayvon Martin was a little shithead. Tamir Rice was a little shithead. Michael Brown was a giant shithead. Freddie Gray was a giant shithead. Stephon Clark was a giant shithead.
If every case of alleged police brutality was like George Floyd or Eric Garner, then I don't think riots would reduce sympathy, but like... the other guys I mentioned (particularly the last three) actively created the kinds of shithole communities that the cops feel justified in using violent force against. And in turn, certain sectors of the public support the cops using violent force.
I know a lot of white liberals who started out sympathetic to BLM, but learning the facts surrounding each case, their support evaporated.
