That moment when you get back from memorial day vacation, get on the internet, and see this full blown shitshow. :stress:

The autopsy is going to be pretty damning for the eventual trial. Though seeing the video, the cops involved should probably be facing reckless endangerment charges.

Either way, the city shouldn't have been allowed to burn last night. IMO the national gaurd should have been sent in to maintain order and prevent arson/looting.

I have a feeling that there is a big disconnect between mainstream race baiting fucks like Al Sharpton and the scholars looting last night. On the Unicorn Riot stream, there was a loiter saying they didn't give a fuck about them. As much as the looters and rioters hate the police and Trump. They hate their local politicians, business leaders and older generation even more. They probably hate Hollywood as much as we do here.

As for Trump and today's GOP, somewhat better than the Obama years but also somewhat lost that edge once the wuflu came.

The optics are this. Most were unanimous in condemning Floyd's death. Almost nobody was denying that cop screwed up.

After all of that, these riots happen. Nobody is going to look at this and say to themselves, "Damn! Better not piss off them blacks."

George Floyd's death was a genuine tragedy, but in the long run, destroying your own town and community is not gonna endear you to the majority.

See I'd normally agree if both media and social media weren't the way they were or controlled by who they are currently controlled by. If people were presented with the truth without a spin, most people would come to the conclusion that the cop needs to be tried and the riots are wrong/need to be stopped and punished, but that's not what they're getting

I saw something about 20 complaints and two reprimands. In context though, is that a lot? The guy doesn't exactly look young, if he has been on the force for 20 years, a complaint per year doesn't sound terrible.

All of this chaos and all that comes to mind is one little word.

Distraction.

Distraction for what the government has done to this country over the past several months. Distraction from the tanking economy. Distraction over the continuous, now accelerated, erosion of civil liberties and basic human rights. Distraction from the very country being literally burnt to the fucking ground as we speak.

Distraction after distraction. And every single one has been working exactly to plan.
