Twitter Hides POTUS Tweet

You all sound like spics, acting like you're all going to get rounded up and put into concentration camps. Calm down lol.

This another thing that Trump said he'd do and didn't.

In August 2015, during his campaign, Trump proposed the mass deportation of illegal aliens as a part of his immigration policy.[78][79][80] During his first town hall campaign meeting in Derry, New Hampshire, Trump said that if he were to win the election, then on "[d]ay 1 of my presidency, they're getting out and getting out fast".[81]

What it ended up being is deporting some people in the country illegally only if they'd be convicted of a serious crime and not even all of those.

I could be wrong; and am but a small brain, but my understanding is the aim isn't to repeal 230 but to get better wording in regards to what makes a publisher versus a forum as a way to keep Twitter and similar sites from being able to put the kabash on what they consider wrong think.
Don't listen to the doomer, bro. That tweet literally means nothing. The EO doesn't say shit about that.
Wait til' Monday.

I think if it gives them free votes or a guaranteed victory, anyone would do it. Whether they find a reason not to in the process is another thing. The internet's been fucked for a very long time. Social media is like pandora's box, and although there is some good in it, I think the world would be a better place without twitter, facebook and its ilk. But since the idea exists, and has thrived this many years, there is no real getting rid of it outside of a new technology replacing it. I've thought of a few things that could at least help though. Something that can mass crawl twitter profiles and determine where each cluster of users is coming from, or why they're lashing out against one thing or another. A means of detecting mass botted upvotes, people who are paid influencers etc. There needs to be clarity that even the most simple minded people can understand, because a lot of those users aren't even real, a lot of those ideas are peddled by one source or another, and the hundreds of thousands who are rallied behind that cause might only be about 10,000 who were duped into it.
If you regulate these businesses, you tie their hands. Trump is doing the right thing. He is just doing it the wrong way.

Yeah, just start a highway marauder encampment like in madmax.

Head for the Arctic, hunt wolves, sell the skins, and build a 5000 square foot Ice Mansion.

Edit: A quick calculation shows that an igloo with a 40 ft radius would give you pi*(40^2)=5102 square feet. 40 ft is 12m. Well it turns out that someone has already built a 12 m diameter igloo. You only need to double the size to get an Ice Mansion. An ice mansion seems to be theoretically possible.

Can someone TL DR this section 230 thing and how it pertains to this website?

Section 230 means that a website is not liable for content that users submit

https://www.eff.org/issues/cda230

Section 230 says that "No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider" (47 U.S.C. § 230). In other words, online intermediaries that host or republish speech are protected against a range of laws that might otherwise be used to hold them legally responsible for what others say and do. The protected intermediaries include not only regular Internet Service Providers (ISPs), but also a range of "interactive computer service providers," including basically any online service that publishes third-party content. Though there are important exceptions for certain criminal and intellectual property-based claims, CDA 230 creates a broad protection that has allowed innovation and free speech online to flourish.

@Null it sucks about the internet, but living in the middle of nowhere is fucking great. 10/10 would recommend. We've got the coof under control. I got a big old vegetable garden. You don't need a license to go fishing. No one knows what you're doing so no one fucks with you. And with Amazon and Alibaba and shit it's not like in my parents day where there was just stuff you couldn't buy. I got a half acre of land a 30 minute run from a Wal-Mart for $4,000 Canadian dollars. It has no municipal government or county. There are no property taxes or building codes. It doesn't matter what laws the government passes if there's no one to enforce them. You talked about Alaska on a stream before. That's probably your best bet in the US. Fuck society.

Well, there goes all internet freedom I guess. What a depressing fucking day. Hopefully someone shines something shinier in Trump's face and he forgets all about this.
Aye, we're going to go straight from dumb SJW shit right back to the Right being censorious faggots like they were in the 80s.

All because the POTUS has the mentality of a fucking toddler.

Lol why don't you quit being an overly negative pile of trash and realise the issue is that you asked for something you didn't realise you didn't fucking want.

The POTUS isn't to blame, you are all to blame, The left and the right are all to blame for this bullshit. Like those who are calling for more riots because niggers keep getting fucking killed because they are apes.

Guys....
The President does not have the power to repeal laws. That power rests in the legislative branch, and to other extents in the judicial branch.

Hell EO's themselves can be invalidated by the Judicial branch in their entirety if they propose a legal challenge. Not to mention the legislative branch can pass legislation that supercede EOs.
This particular EO is a fluff piece that only does 2 things; it effectively cancels the federal government sending money in anyway to "social media" companies, and it establishes that if the Federal government were to have a Social Media platform (technically it does have 1 or 2 but it's not available to the public) that platform would be moderated in a way that does not conflict with the Comm Decensy Act... which guess what, the CDA wouldn't apply anyway because it's the Fed Gov't and bound by the constitution.

It's a fluff piece, a way for Trump to make a "statement" that he is big mad on the internet.

He always sounds like this on fucking Twitter, even before he became president. None of this shit is new or exciting. He's an attention whore and he knows how to get attention and by God, he does it well. He did this exact same song and dance with the bumpstock ban not two years ago with the 2A crowd after the Las Vegas shooting and hasn't really done anything 2A related (at least anything major) since.
I'm talking about Null.
