Anna o' Brien / Glitter + Lazers / GlitterandLazers - Fat, drunk, consoomer attention whore who would rather eat and drink herself to death than endure a single negative emotion

By god, she's outdone herself.
I've watched her for years and can definitively say this is the worst dress she's worn (yet). She looks like a fat, pregnant, colorblind piñata who has no sense of shame. I can't fucking believe she admitted this was one of the clothing items she picked out.

I love the visible bra straps.

Giant ruffles look cute on little girls, dolls, and very spritely gamine women. Anna is none of those. I am surprised that a plus size clothing line would create this type of dress for larger women. Even the true size 20 model looked bad in it imo.

Yeah, it looks like a dress based on a six year-old's drawing and colour sense. It's vile, amateurish-looking and wouldn't really look the greatest on Kate Moss, never mind someone Anna's shape and size. The colours are harsh, don't compliment each other and the whole effect is incredbly cheap-looking. Perhaps the company is having a laugh. Perhaps they actually think this look is wearable and sought-after. Perhaps they need their eyes checking by a good doctor.

The red ruffle is especially misplaced in there, lol. I think Kate Moss is too chic to even consider that thing now, but she may have pulled it off in her 20s had it been made with more muted shades (and had it been ironed FFS). She would have made a perfect Mori girl.

I can believe it, it's the dress version of Anna - loud, trashy and tasteless.

Let us play a game called how it looks and how its supposed to look (These go up to a 28 ):

The model is size 20 and 5'10".

That last dress reminds me of the old 1960's CBC butterfly logo ... only way fucking uglier.

Am I alone in not hating the last one? On the model, obvs

There is (well, was for now) a fabulous Caribbean carnival I know of where this would look great, just reallycheerful and a bit OTT

Just in case anyone was curious the dress retails for $150 USD so it’s as expensive as it is ugly.

Reading up on Eloquie they actually have clothes set to be at least 1 or 2 sizes HIGHER in the hips. Not sure if any of her items were in that fit but eloquie stops at 28 so their "Viola" size technically goes up to 30 in hips....

There highest is:
28V = 58-60 inch bust, 51.5-53.5 inch waist, 66-68 inch hips

and yet the clothes STILL doesn't fit her!

I would say Anna is a 32 in the lower half, easily. Couple of sizes smaller in the upper half, which makes this even harder to fit her, but she's basically at the far end of being able to buy clohes at her current size. If she keeps gaining, we can expect some amazing chimpouts as she tries and fails to get clothing on at all. She regularly spazzes out about fit as it is. Imagine her wth another 50lb on that lower half ... it'll be game over for even horribly stretched-out, sausage-skin fits. She'll be in 'mumu or nothng' territory.

Cow crossover: Tess Holiday modeled for Eloquii and was fit to be tied when they revealed that she was wearing size 26 and 28 dresses in their campaign. She publically said that this was because all of Eloquii's lines ran 2 or 3 sizes too small, eventually ruining her relationship with the last major client she had.

Tess Holliday is 5'2". Anna is 5'10". They wear the same size in Eloquii (although Anna's thighs are clearly too large for the pieces)

Extra funny since the reviews I was seeing was stating true to fit or too loose on the items.

Is there even such a thing as a true plus-size brand (as opposed to a brand that extends into the plus range) that actually runs small in reality?

I cannot imagine a plus-only brand that caters for really large people being so stupid as to offer clothes that have even less chance of fitting than normal, or make already fat people feel even fatter. Bad for business, surely?

Yep!

Hot Topic has a line called "Girls" which is more junior cut version of there clothes it goes up to XXL.
Due to the overlap with Torrid it sometimes attempts to sell from the same brand with hilarious results.

To give an idea of the hilariously small sizing 21" Stitch in XXL shirt:
