I remember reading Up From Slavery at a very important time in my life. I was 15 and was being bratty and entitled lately with no provocation. I didn't have any friends so I was hanging around kids who also did not have friends so we could grumble about how everyone sucks together.

Somehow I found the book in a bookshelf at home, it wasn't assigned for school or anything, I just liked reading. Made me inspired to have a better attitude and appreciate how little my life sucks.

A lot of these are from My Larger Education and a few from elsewhere.

“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

“No race can prosper till it learns that there is as much dignity in tilling a field as in writing a poem.”

“I am afraid that there is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”

“I have begun everything with the idea that I could succeed, and I never had much patience with the multitudes of people who are always ready to explain why one cannot succeed.”

“It is discouraging to find a woman who knows much about theoretical chemistry, and who cannot properly wash and iron a shirt.”

“A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good, just because it's accepted by a majority.”

“It is pretty hard, however, to help a young man who has started wrong. Once he gets the idea that — because he has crammed his head full with mere book knowledge — the world owes him a living, it is hard for him to change.”

“From his example in this respect I learned the lesson that great men cultivate love, and that only little men cherish a spirit of hatred.”

“notwithstanding the cruelty and moral wrong of slavery, the ten million Negroes inhabiting this country, who themselves or whose ancestors went through the school of American slavery, are in a stronger and more hopeful condition, materially, intellectually, morally, and religiously, than is true of an equal number of black people in any other portion of the globe.”

“Associate yourself with people of good quality, for it is better to be alone than in bad company.”

“In many cases it seemed to me that the ignorance of my race was being used as a tool with which to help white men into office, and that there was an element in the North which wanted to punish the Southern white men by forcing the Negro into positions over the heads of the Southern whites.”

“Nothing ever comes to one, that is worth having, except as a result of hard work”

“The real trouble with the newspapers is that while they frequently exhibit the average man at his worst, they rarely show him at his best. In order to read the best about the average man we must still go to books or to magazines.”

“When I meet cases, as I frequently do, of such unfortunate and misguided young men as I have described, I cannot but feel the most profound sympathy for them, because I know that they are not wholly to blame for their condition. I know that, in nine cases out of ten, they have gained the idea at some point in their career that, because they are Negroes, they are entitled to the special sympathy of the world, and they have thus got into the habit of relying on this sympathy rather than on their own efforts to make their way.”

“I am learning more and more each year that all worry simply consumes, and to no purpose, just so much physical and mental strength that might otherwise be given to effective work.”

“I had no schooling whatsoever while I was a slave, though I remember on several occasions I went as far as the schoolhouse door with one of my young mistresses to carry her books. The picture of several dozen boys and girls in a schoolroom engaged in study made a deep impression upon me, and I had the feeling that to get into a schoolhouse and study in this way would be about the same as getting into paradise.”

“One thing that has taught me to dislike politics is the observation that, as soon as any person or thing becomes the subject of political discussion, he or it at once assumes in the public mind an importance out of all proportion to his or its real merits.”
He would be crying right now to watch this happening. Also it's really highly annoying that we focused on MLK in school and Booker T. Washington was just a passing part of a lecture. He deserves his own lecture.
Most old school Black rights activists would be crying now. Hell, I'm sure a lot of more moderate ones are upset about the state of affairs, but you have brainlets on Reddit and Twitter spreading bullshit like "Peaceful protests don't work!" and egging on the rioters to attack cops, innocents, other blacks, stores, monuments, museums and so on. The irony of it all is that they're promoting anarchy, not equality.

Styx changed his outfit.

Wanted to see what Kyle Kulinski thinks about this shit and no mention of these riots at all, just mad at Trump for declaring ANTIFA terrorists, muh Cornell West and mad at the Medical Examiner. And he is the sanest of the progressives. I assume none of them are covering this either.

These looters and rioters have destroyed the very communities they claim to love and pissed off other minorities more than whites. The nigger and his handlers in an attempt to close the racial divide have only expanded it to every immigrant community that came here post 1960s.

For the brief moments I took a walk outside, didn't hear any normies talking good about these protests at this point in the supermarket parking lots or gas stations.
This whole things has proven how hollow, vile, shallow, and vain all the people that want to morally lecture you all day are. I mean I knew it, but I didn't truly realize how bad it was. I'm actually starting to feel really, really bad for black people. They are just kept down, to be held up as a broken toy, meant to induce guilt and compliance, that is never fixed. I'm disgusted. This country is wicked, from top to bottom.

There was also the fact that their paranoia about the growing black (specifically, Bantu) population was caused by their own insistence on bringing in vast amounts of black labor to work in the mines for shit pay (and forced them to live in borderline shacks on the sprawling outskirts of cities) so they didn't have to pay their white employees all the benefits and handouts the Apartheid government ensured they would get. Whites had a very generous welfare state around them, and iirc the Afrikaners were provided even more than the Anglo South Africans. While I agree that the technological progress South Africa made during the 20th century was extraordinary, the system they created screwed them over in the long run. Cue surprised Pikachu face from the National Party. At least F.W. De Klerk knew it was time to call it a day. Anyway, none of the undeniably horrendous things that the Apartheid regime committed justify the absolutely horrific actions against innocent white farmers in South Africa today. None of it justifies the current corruption, violent crime, and economic stagnation exacerbated by the ANC and the EFF after Mandela died.
So basically, mine your own gold.

I'm seeing more and more posts of future gun enthusiasts. We already have a thread full of info on them and I've seen a few posters* mention they'd be happy to share info. If you don't already have one I suggest reading the thread, speaking to anyone willing to give you advice (with the caveat you may get some mixed messages). And obviously getting one as soon as you can, which I've heard can be tricky already due to the 'rona.

*If we had a list of these knowledgeable folks that'd be great. Don't include me, I'm overseas in the caliphate and would get arrested for having a plastic fork in public.

yeah, i'm kind of tired of everything revolving around blacks and how they have it worse

pride flag? better put on some shit colored stripes because MUH BLACKS

The black and brown stripes on the "new" pride flag are fucking hilarious to me. The trans stripes, okay sure, that kinda makes sense, even though the point of the rainbow is that it includes everyone. It's LGBT so there's at least some logic in incorporating their flag. Black isn't a sexuality, it's a fucking skin colour, why would it need to have stripes on a flag that's supposed to symbolise sexuality?

can we just carpet bomb the cities and then call it a day? this has been going on for far too long. its starting to fuck with my mental state pretty bad.
I think people are starting to realize that it really is commies- Why would big corporations support the destruction of small businesses otherwise? To make it so that THEY are the only competition around. The "alt right" crap is debunked since Charlottesville when Antifa were the ones who were unscathed since the mass media focused on the ebil white min (and essentially encouraged shaming/cancel culture on them). Its not rocket science.

And no, the rioters can't be "talked out of it", children who have never been told "no" their entire life will grow up to be unredeemable spoiled psychos. If I were a genuine BLM member, I would tell people to hold off the protests right now so the coup can be dealt with- those who favor hysteria will get darwin'd by people rightfully defending their livelihoods and homes. And also mention that because we are a sensible group (though some questionable things say otherwise), then it would make sense that we have the superior, wise temperance to hold it off for now.

This post is glowing bright as fuck, turn down the brightness please.

Hey I live in a city a city 99% black. I literally see the beatings daily off my balcony..its way worse than twitter is showing. I havent left since friday, every white person is getting beat and robbed. I hear screams at night of women. Shits wack

If I wasn't laid off and didn't have beef with the owner of the nearest gun store I would own a nice little rifle by now.

At this point, the best thing for those, that want justice for George Floyd and an end to police brutality, would be to just go home and wait until the cops and national guard have reestablished some law and order by arresting every motherfucker that's out on the street and give them a draconian punishment.

Anyone dumb nough to think this brutal bullshit will improve anyone's live even just on iota is a lolcow.

>in a few weeks the police are going to kill thart man

lolwat. This guy needs a nice long stay in an asylum.

Just when I go to sleep from the insanity, most if not all artists I've been following on Instagram start posting about #BLM shit. Funny thing is I follow mostly Japanese artists (just a weeb no it's not hentai it's junko mizuno), like who are you doing this for? I know there's the Kurdish Man but these people are tagging it as #BLM and writing about black violence in America with poor English grammar. Is the globohomo programming that strong...?

Anyway here's some dumb shit. An artist was trying to raise funds for JapanLA rebuilding because she's done live paintings and such at that store. Very heartwarming.
Of course though there's going to be the white weeb girls telling her to rot in hell.
She did get commissions but after getting flooded with those kind of comments she shouldn't ever feel the need to do business in Los Angeles ever again, holy shit.

I kind of wish more people did that "I won't be posting anything for a week to raise melanated voices" challenge bullcrap so my IG timeline would just be cute animals from Japan for a week instead of this stupid black square virtue signaling, but I'm just staying off IG until this fad dies.
