The spookiest thing is that you don't need to do anything to get the racist label. I've seen African Americans say a barista was racist for delivering their coffee too slowly and supposedly looking at them the wrong way.
At this point it's safer for white Americans to stay away from blacks they don't know. This cultural climate is awful.

To summarize on the point both black people and white people tend to have a positive association with black people, however black people have a much more positive association. As such the coddling black people receive from other black people makes the relatively more neutral interactions from white people seem negative. Mix that with entitlement. victim complex and a get out of jail free card and you get the race card.
