Turns out I was just being pessimistic!
I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm proud of Arin, but I'm slightly impressed, the same way you would be if a retarded kid didn't shit his pants the entire school trip. To keep with being a cynical tool, though: I'm not convinced it's Arin editing these videos. It could be him, given that he's 'shopped the thumbnails on occasion, but I dunno, he strikes me as being way too lazy and comfortable to do full vids. Maybe I'm severely overestimating the effort it requires to chop up several hours into 10+ minute chunks, but still. Arin's a tard, that's why we discuss him here. Remember that time he showed his (alleged) porn bookmarks? Likely not the most tech savvy guy they have lying around the office. It could be an intern or random staff or I could just be giving our soft uwu gaming prince a hard time. Who can blame me?
The not crediting thing strikes me more as them just knowing they pulled some rando to act as a temp guy and it's not worth naming or crediting him. As opposed to it being Arin's super secret editing he's way too embarrassed to even vaguetweet about.
The thing that convinced me of Ben's booting was Arin's reaction to the RantGrumps guy's donation. Typical of Arin to react like a cliche high school white girl after a breakup when he fired his employee over sexually harassing a minor. Stay classy, Arin. Get that Magic the Gathering moolah.
Also have to wonder if it was Arin's idea/call to fire Ben or if at this point he's nothing but a doughy figurehead.

It makes even less sense here than maybe ever before, since it's such an open and shut case with hardly any possible backlash. "Hey cumfaggots, you know that editor you all hated even before people thought he was a creep? Well now he's fired!" All the lovelies can jump for joy and show their support of the Grumps' good business decisions and unwavering moral fibre by buying more merch. If you want to be extra tasteless have a sale, claim it's for some other reason. Make $$$, use said $$$ to get a new editor. And life moves on.
But Arin's retardation is a thing of beauty. So instead of capitalising on this and making money or being transparent and gaining people's trust and respect (they can later exploit), it'll be another one of those things that's brushed under the carpet. It's so dumb 'cause if they just said they needed a new editor they'd likely get one way faster. The quality of said editor is not guaranteed, though. Anyway, that's just my two cents and speculation. Maybe GG will surprise me again (lol).
Since I don't want to doublepost I'll quickly address some of the hogwash in my original post-- which was written early in the morning without my first coffee in me. I was talking about this stream that's already been posted in this thread several times. It's from 2011. I think with Leafyishere being back and Keem and H3H3 slapfighting again my brain just broke and thought it was 2016. Sorry if it sounded like I was referencing something new.
I didn't miss any editors. They don't change that often.
Alright, this one's the big fuck up. I still maintain that I remember an extended sequence of Dan and Arin joking about Kevin in a sexual manner but for the life of me I couldn't find it through google searches alone. I've watched a couple vids/compilations but it's doubtful I can find it without sifting through most of mid 2010s Game Grumps. And that's a fate I wish on no one. In case you do hate yourself or have a better memory than me I'd love some help on this. (Even if it's just to prove I'm a delusional fucker who dreams of polygrumps, apparently.)

)I link this version and not the skit itself on their long abandoned Grump Out channel because there's a couple extra lines after it that state it took a while for them to intro him because they couldn't be sure he'd do a good job and wouldn't be fired nigh instantly. I doubt this new mystery editor is in the same situation (i.e. permanent in theory) but you're free to speculate.

At this point I'm convinced Mr. Unlikable has a massive crush on us. His anime VN character arc dictates that he's just being a tsundere and will end up letting us romance him sharpish. That of course assumes anyone would want to romance him.
