I feel like most people pushing this "400 years of slavery and oppression" shit really feel like Europeans all lived in castles or some shit before we came over here. My people bailed the fuck out of Europe because they were dirt poor and all they saw happening there was more poverty.

Somalians, Vietnamese, Ukrainians, Guatemalans, Bangladeshis, Bosnians, people from all over the world came here broke as fuck to try to make something of themselves, and you don't see them whining about how shit they had it.

And I'd wager the same people who blame slavery for their lot can put everything they know about the slave trade and slavery into three short paragraphs that are very light on facts. And moreover, they'd be hard pressed to come up with another three paragraphs about black history between 1865 and 1968. Because the "I'm broke as fuck today because 155 years ago my ancestors were slaves" narrative doesn't stand up to a lot of scrutiny.

People are fucking ignorant.

I think this was supposed to kick off after Trump won the election. People would be even more wound up from Covid quarantine. More damage. More deaths. Stain the next 4 years right off the bat. Minneapolis AntiFa kicked it off early because they needed to exploit the George Floyd death. Now the tail is wagging the dog (AntiFa doing shit while Media and DNC are forced to react.)

Anyway, from what I have seen people want to blame the system for their place in life. You go 30,000 in debt for a degree from a place that gets closed down so you can't even prove that you went there? Yeah, that would piss me off too.

Otherwise it is the fact people are naive that we can support socialism or the over optimism that it won't slide into totalitarian hell.

i'm not entirely sure how accurate this poll is compared to what people think in america considering that 1624 people were asked this question and they were also all registered voters. polls tend to be inaccurate and sometimes biased to the point of propaganda

Still waiting for all the Irish to start riots. How many were brought over as indentured servants in the late 19th century in conditions worse than slavery.

Any lawyerfags in the thread? What’s the general threshold for inciting a riot...does someone have to be explicitly calling for a riot or can it be more subtle?
