I've been thinking about something over the past few days. If George Floyd wasn't killed by police, did his life really matter? It's sad, but I have a feeling that a man who was a drug addict, had a long criminal record, was accused of using counterfeit money, and had a critically bad ticker was someone that the black community wouldn't give a flying fuck about.

If Chauvin decided not to be an idiot and blatantly abuse his power, Floyd would've either died at the hospital due to a drug overdose/cardiac arrest or would currently be sitting in jail awaiting trial for using counterfeit money (and considering his past record, he'd probably get a few weeks in jail). A man who would've still been struggling to survive or find work thanks to WuFlu and a daughter that he may or may not have seen that much.

He's a placeholder, a prop for getting back at the people they think are holding them back. I'd keep going, but we all know the main thing holding these people back are themselves. George Floyd was replaceable. If it wasn't him, it would've been someone else a few months down the road.

I've solo-traveled down south and they are the friendliest motherfuckers on this earth. I've had several instances of being in TN, TX and AL of people spotting me cooking food at gas stations and either giving me food, rolling me cigarettes and chatting with me and cracking open a beer.
