The Episcopal Church is the informal religion of America. They lost formal power when Thomas Jefferson stripped them of their legal authority but even to the present day they are are the religion of Americas leadership. And they too seek to undermine this nation at every turn. To the point where they would apologize for rioters setting fire to one of their most sacred sites and condemn the President for moving decisively to defend it.

Episcopalians I know have been shocked, horrified that Donald Trump would dare stand in front of the church in his back yard. But none of them said a thing about the church being set on fire the night before. I thought it was a big deal, but they were dead silent. They were attacked by domestic terrorists who are waging a nationwide campaign of destruction, but all the Episcopalians can think about is Orange Man and the poor protestors who might have gotten a whiff of tear gas.

The subversion of the Episcopal Church is one of the saddest developments in American Christianity. It makes me mad so I won't say any more.
