It's not useful as a realistic framerate for Yandere Simulator, but it is useful as a metric by which other games would be judged. Now that's why your whole calculation is meaningless.

I always assumed that most- if not all- people who play/are fans of Yandere Simulator are in it for the memes and laughs, not because they want a serious, psychological crime game. This is basically hard evidence that Alex is the only one who is clinging to the fantasy that YanSim is a serious game.
Preach.I said this in an earlier post, but Alex really just needs to embrace the meme and turn YanSim into anime parody instead of trying to play these tropes completely straight. Yandere Simulator works way better as a tongue-in-cheek parody of anime tropes than a gritty, serious crime game. The tropes he implements are so stereotypical it's hard to take them seriously.
To be honest I was more interested by Alex's thoughts when he was developing the game. Like how a director commentates over his own movie sort of way.I always assumed that most- if not all- people who play/are fans of Yandere Simulator are in it for the memes and laughs, not because they want a serious, psychological crime game. This is basically hard evidence that Alex is the only one who is clinging to the fantasy that YanSim is a serious game.
He really should just get over himself and embrace the inherent silliness of his game. Just because something is a parody doesn’t mean it can’t be memorable and awesome. Take the anime Kill La Kill for example. It never takes itself too seriously and is unapologetically a pulpy, wacky show that parodies a lot of anime tropes/genres, but everyone involved obviously had a great time making it. Their excitement and care for the show shines through and is infectious for the audience. It doesn’t hurt that there are cool action scenes and genuine character development.
With the 18+ stuff, I think Alex just needs to be honest that they are like 16-18 year olds. Hell he could use that to enhance the tone he's going for by pointing out how creepy it is that the teachers are perving on a student. Also the pantyshot problem can be solved by just making it like a button, inwhich the player doesn't actually see the underwear.Preach.
It's also hard to take the game seriously when the developer himself is almost exclusively unreasonable to the point of censoring feedback he doesn't like or agree with. But aside from Alex's shenanigans, I don't know how he has managed to convince himself that the game should be taken seriously when it's literally called "Yandere Simulator", and it rose around the time that Simulator games were popular and were intentionally bad games. So right away it doesn't give off a good first impression in the "this is a serious game" department. To be fair he did propose a name change for the game but the alternative wasn't much better; "Lovesick". So... that never happened.
The alternate skins or "Easter Eggs" for YanChan, his blatent plaigerising of character designs and/or personalities for the students, the bad pun names for the characters, and plaigerising of storytelling concepts from anime has basically turned the game into a miniature museum/fustercluck of anime references, memes, and other video games. He makes a lot of comparisons between YanSim to other games and steals ideas from said games, so he's not exactly original with his concepts. With all the meandering he's doing implementing Osana - or rather refusing to add her because he would consider the game no longer a debug build but a demo - getting the game into a completed state is just an afterthought.
I still can't get over the fact that the uniforms are realistically for the wrong age group so it completely contradicts his disclaimer that every student is 18. Wouldn't need a disclaimer if he just removed the pantyshots, the concept for two rivals that are faculty members that are horny for underage dick, and the ability to buy porn with a fake ID. People questioned why she needs an ID to buy porn but "it's a fictional version of Japan where you need to be 20 to buy porn" in this universe, apparently.
It's just sad because anime can be a great medium for storytelling, and I've seen shows, games, and movies do storytelling really well without falling too heavily into anime tropes, or even subverting them. Unfortunately a lot of anime falls for the trap of relegating a main character to a particular trope and making their personality one-dimensional with limited character development, and Alex relying on these tropes for his no-personality characters and stolen story points doesn't help him with that. There's just too much wrong with the game and its presentation to be taken seriously.
And it's not like people haven't tried to give their feedback about it, but if he listened to them we wouldn't be sitting here discussing it with ya now would I?
Maybe he will really make effort to implement Osana in june because he patreon money is dwindling and it the only way to increase it. But that would be just extremlyCan't wait for this to not be what he's advertising. I will be shocked if Osana actually happens in 2020

Pretty much. I'd also add, that with all not serious tone, he wouldn't have to add some complex mechanics, hell, even some non lethal bugs would've been fine. I mean, look at Goat Simulator, it's not a masterpiece or something, but it does what it supposed to do and also developers left some bugs untouched, because people found them funny.Let's face it, all the self-awareness and pulp probably went over Yandev's head since there are number of half-naked anime chicks to lust over. The only thing he could "learn" is that it's okay to add in more of that sweet lewdness in ANY context as long as it's anime.
Again, he could get away by going with "Running with Scissors" style of game and make it all about pissing all over shitty (or not) anime tropes with healthy dose of edge and legit fun.
Just imagine all this romancing with sempai stuff and maintaining your school life being constantly shaken by wierd happenings mixed with occasional cheezy but violent fights with rivals or just dumb students.
But Alex wants to be big boy dev (or at least look like one), so the game should be only barely meta-parody and he himself has to make compromises in bad way and bouncing between being kinda-ironic and serious, which doesn't work.
I mean, the thing is, it got popular among let's players not because it was anime hitman with super duper assasination mechanics, but because early debugs were just murder death kill sandboxes. Like, you know, that other game I can't shut up about, but more trendy for teens and less controversial. No wonder Yandere Simmulator used to be a gold mine.
You don’t need to censor discord names. We can’t actually find these people without their user number, which is not displayed unless you click on themHeya, I'm one of those people who got reminded of this game's existence through Kubzscouts' trending vid.
Last I saw the game was years ago but it still looks the same ?? This sucks. Anyway, I checked the discord server out of curiosity and it's really sad to see that fans are still hoping for a finished product when it's probably never gonna happen. Some people in the server are also starting to doubt if it will ever be done but when they expressed their thoughts, they were only slapped with the "crowdfunding" excuse.
And then there's this one guy who said this. Idk I just find it hilarious how they described the game as "a serious indie game".
I know this isn't news but still, it's sad to see especially since the majority in the server are probably just a bunch of brainwashed kids.

Never understood what Saikou's daughter wanted from it anyway. But there's an in-universe explanation for it: uniforms appropriate for the students' age group wouldn't fitYanderedev'sthe Saikou daughter's "vision"
I bet there will be at least one case of Alex sperging out and kicking paid worker out cause he would question the development in any way.Crowdfunding is Eva's new magic spell to ward off criticism. Every issue you might have with the game will be fixed after the campaign by a group of highly trained gamedev monkeys, so stop doubting the Glorious Leader and wait.
even with the filter he's still a 3/10 at best, AT BEST. Troon out, Alexandra, I wanna watch your mommy and daddy's shekels go to titty skittles.
No way. Crowdfunding is going to crash and burn and he will not pay any workers at all.I bet there will be at least one case of Alex sperging out and kicking paid worker out cause he would question the development in any way.
I'm personally waiting for Osana so to withness the glorious mess that will unfold during active development.
Yeah, but that would be much more booring. No way. Crowdfunding is going to crash and burn and he will not pay any workers at all.
Alex can put his own money, just to prove that he is still relevant. Shit like this happened before. No way. Crowdfunding is going to crash and burn and he will not pay any workers at all.
Bold of you to assume he'll pay them at allNever understood what Saikou's daughter wanted from it anyway.
At least Satsuki Kiryuin kinda had a good reason to implement strage dessisions, because she wanted a PMC made out of school.
Here it just feels like unreasonable whims of a spoiled brat, but we being told that Saikous have autistically strict dicipline.
Alright, that's already to much of questionning YS the plot, I'm gonna need a drink.

Only the most serious games have pandemic waifu easter eggs. And then there's this one guy who said this. Idk I just find it hilarious how they described the game as "a serious indie game".

knowing yandev even if he lucky enough to gather a small team he would sabotage the whole teamwork. it already near impossible for him to find worker because he's unwilling to pay and he's too capriciousHeya, I'm one of those people who got reminded of this game's existence through Kubzscouts' trending vid.
