There's been a concentrated effort by the woke to infiltrate and "fix" Warhammer 40k. They feel that the grimdark and the fascist elements of the setting inspires it's players to be fascists. GW has been slowly falling to them as older staff quit and are replaced by woke idiots who pander "just a little bit" to them.

For example, the new lore states a muslim woman created the Space Marines, not the Emperor, or somesuch trash. She only gave him part of the instructions because she could tell that he, as a straight white man (note: He is none of those things -- not straight, not white, not human) wouldn't be able to use them properly.

The latest book has a random purple haired woman on the cover and a random Ultramarine... who happens to be black. This is kinda a wash in the lore -- Space Marines go dark as fuck or pale as fuck depending on how much sunlight they get, and always end up looking "by default" like their Primarch; the Ultramarines' Primarch is very white, but if that particular marine had been in a desert, he would have been pretty dark skinned indeed. And Ultramarines recruit from a shitload of worlds, so, it's not unheard of that they'd have a black ultramarine -- except he'd be as pale as Gulliman after being turned into a Space Marine.

As for the purple haired woman, the authors tend to like to make any non-spacemarine a sassy woman or a soulful black in order to get their diversity bingo cards punched.

Infamously, ADB, one of the worst writers working for GW, wanted to make female Adeptus Custodes but was shot down HARD by the higher ups at GW. He also virtue signals all the fucking time about how he loves to force the readers to read about random brown and black people, random women (especially lesbians), etc, because it "pisses the right people off."

It's only a matter of time before those higher ups retire, are forced out, or are convinced by ADB and the like that "no seriously, we'll sell 50,0000000000000 more copies of 11th edition if you give us big titty ultramarines and tranny blood angels."

The first time I saw shilling for female space marines is when RELIC was making WH40K: Space Marine. There were female cosplayers at the booths promoting the game as space marines. That sucked.

around 2015 the NYPD tried that whole "we'll show them by stopping to police" thing in early 2015, it failed hard. gentrification led to there not really being much crime regardless. for 3 months it was great, people jumped turnstiles and there weren't parking tickets and crime basically stayed the same but people weren't getting harassed as much by cops.

the NYPD has stayed at the same level it was at during the height of crime in the early 90s despite there being 1/10th as much crime happening. thankfully deblasio and the other nuts have caused crime to spike because the NYPD was going the way of the NYFD. a bunch of government employees who sit on their ass for most of the month but then do something to justify paying them 6 figures a year. we used to pay the firemen on average $5,000 per fire put out or something insane like that.

The crime rate is the same. People don't report minor stuff the same, and a lot of crime has moved online. But with New York as it is, the high levels of cops are needed just for visibility and deterrence.

Games Workshop and Black Library are still in the early phases of the SJW infestation. 40K is an extremely dense diagetic and SJWs are lazy. They have to do too much actual work to understand anything about the 40K universe, and this has insulated them pretty well. A few have gotten past the gates though. They've already injected trans ideology in a few Adeptus Mechanicus books, with the main character using they/them pronouns.

The entire makeup of 40k's lore and story is pretty much antithetical to anything Social Justice. They could not successfully shoe horn in modern liberal political theory without breaking it completing and really pissing off the fans. I suppose it could be done intelligently, where you could have a story about Callidus Assassin being some sort of feminist theory meditation, but that would require actual work and writing competency. Something I have yet to see come out of any individual who subscribes to this stuff.

At the end of the day, there are two tiers of 40k fans. Lonely young men looking for something they can socialize with who pay stupid amounts of money on the action figures, and then an even larger number of people who don't play the game but do follow the lore, read the books, play one or two of the video games, and have usually showed up because more traditional geek cultures have become infested with SocJus.

They would be absolute fools to try and undo that. What Games Workshop brings to the table is so radicall different to every other generic SciFi franchise that at this point they would be better served at staying the course. There has been a massive surge of interest in 40k in recent years, and its directly related to how different it is. I am sure there are quite a few people who work at GW miffed about how many icky right wingers buy their stuff, and even more miffed at how so many of them don't seem to understand the Imperium of Man is supposed to be a giant joke. Of course, this is the same issue Paul Veerhoven ran into with his Starship Troopers adaptation. He tried to depict a society so over the top militarist and fascistic people would both hate and laugh at it at the same time. But he was such a bungling moron he accidentally created something awesome and inspiring.

And despite GW's fervant claims to the contrary, there really is something very inspiring about 40k's Imperium of Man. How despite all the internal strife, and lovecraftian external threats it faces, it still presses on. How against all reason the Emperor of Man clings to life just enough that his great works would not be undone. Its honestly a powerful metaphor for life itself. Ave Imperator.
