Despite my moniker I am not a druid, I just worship coffee. But in my hobbies and social circles I know several pagans, mainly older ones. I also find mythology interesting so I know a fair amount of what they follow. I like them. It's the younger crowd of teens-20s women that do "wicca" that seem to just follow social media trends and crystal-astrology woo and I doubt many actually treat it as a religion. It's that, a trend.

Oh, absolutely. It's all "fence-sitting is complacency!" and "there is no third option!" right up until you say "Okay then, if I have to pick, I think I'll go with the side that hasn't abused me into trying to join them".

They make and change the rules whenever they suit them so they are always the winners and you are always the loser, unless you join them and do everything they say.

You just have it backwards. People grow up, get property and pay taxes, and THEN start mellowing out, maturing and getting perspective. There's nothing wrong with enjoying and taking pride in what you've worked for responsibly. It's actually very satisfying. Or used to be until prices started spiralling out of control. Thanks, government, for forcing banks to loan to illiterate jobless people because "muh disparate impact" and causing the housing crash and recession. That's what happens when you force diverse policies against the tried-and-true financial litmus tests used to determine loan viability since forever.

99% of the problem is that none of these people, especially the middle-class white ones who have hitched themselves to this wagon, have ever experienced any actual hardship in their lives. So many of them don't even remember life before the Internet, they are screaming about how unfair life is while clutching a $700 smartphone which they use to access their echo chambers where everyone agrees with them and anyone who asks questions is a bigot. These guys in cities can press a button on their phone and have almost any kind of food from every corner on the earth delivered to their door for a relative pittance. They don't have to worry about physical labour or where their next meal is coming from, that shit would have been considered literal magic not that long ago.

I'm not of the opinion that technology is evil, we should be using it to make our lives easier. Sadly it seems to have made us incapable of critical thinking.

On another note, say what you want about the Farms or the Chans but if you're being a retard then people will call you out for it which is far more healthy mentally than being told that your opinions are always right.

The middle ground is simple, mega corporations are cancerous and will kill us for profit, Career politicians are corrupt and need to be guillotined, we need to have more than 2 parties, we need to avoid tribalism and avoid echo chambers, the issue is most people will refuse to vote for anyone besides their party out of fear of the evil other side winning. Think about it to the left Trump is hitler 2.0 and voting 3rd party instead of joe means you voted for Trump. for the left a vote for third party means a dementia patient wins the presidency. The issue is we are dealing with 20+ years of brainwashing through education and mass media and pulling them out of the cult will take years of time we don't have and be almost impossible since they can always run back to their echo chambers.

So has anyone answered what I’m supposed to do if a gangbanger shoots up my house and we’re in this liberal utopia where I can’t own a gun and there no police? Is this like demolition man where the black man just does whatever he wants until a white dude who doesn’t give a shit is taken out of cryo to stop him?

Assuming those primaries were legit. Honestly, I think they fudge a lot of vote counts to get the candidate they want. Dems will hold their nose to vote for the candidate no matter what, but the last time anyone was really excited to vote Dem was Obama. And that was really only because he was black. Even a lot of women weren't keen on Hillary and she could have been the first female president. The candidates the DNC want are not always (or even usually) the candidates that the actual Dem plebs want.

Probably counts for a lot of it. But some of it is just that they were the edgy ones who pushed the boundaries when they were young. Trouble is, the line kept moving further left and ended up being too far for them. Like being in favor of gay marriage, but thinking that troons pushed it too far over the line.

According to like 90% of liberals I know IRL, yes, this is the case: they're both opposed to personal gun ownership AND police intervention, and have personally told me that if their lives were in danger like that, then they must do nothing and simply accept their fate.
