U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

my favorite part about all of this is that all the rioters freedom fighters narrative and all the leftwing narrative bullshit is what is going to be written in the history books about this whole affair and will be what people think is true for the rest of history

That's what they said about the LA Riots and I haven't met a single soul that remembers those riots fondly. And, in the end, they contributed to nothing.

This will probably be a culture event that sets back race relations. But it will be a footnote in the next thirty years. This isn't a 9/11 or a Coronavirus pandemic that strikes the whole world. It's history repeating itself yet again but with no overall positive impact or endgame.

I don't know why does Youtube still show me late night shit when I stopped watching it after 2017, when there was no more product differentiation but homogenous corporate bullshit. And Jon Stewart despite his flaws, I guess made a great decision to retire and so far has done some good things like fighting for the firefighters and policeman's healthcare zadroga act stuff. Hell even met Mitch McConnell to pitch his case, a rarity among today's left wingers or liberals. Also was on WWE for a bit.

His protege Stephen Colbert has been a giant disappointment and I believe in two theories, either he is a corporate sellout just doing TDS shit to keep himself in the ratings as in the beginning he tried to be like partial or nonpolitical and then dropped it as ratings were going in the gutter or truly is a dipshit looking at the title of tonight's video about government intimidation. Are you serious, you dumb southern fake ass carpetbagging fucktard, Trump surprising to me has not gone full 1488 and these assholes still live in the Bush era.

And its telling me progressives and neocons are backing a soulless neoliberal and I watch a large majority of my minority group back this bullshit after the shit both parties has done to our group. And the newer generation are all leftists that would get lynched by a angry mob back in the motherland.

Remember the first weeks of the Colbert Show, when they had Donald Trump and some other republican on within the first few weeks

They officially ended that last Thursday. So no we don't have to take part in useless virtue signaling every week and pretend clapping for people working in care is helping them not die of Corona or giving them an actual worthy paycheck.

My mum's an NHS worker. Not even in a Corona ward, not even on an inpatient ward, and what did she get for going to work for barely even minimum wage? 40c fever, cough, fatigue so bad she couldn't even walk to the toilet unassisted and no test because the government only started rolling out mass testing a month after.

And then because my mum's a retard who refused to go to hospital even when an ambulance was called for her, she gave Corona Chan's gift to my dad (who also needed an ambulance a week later cause he was struggling to breathe and me (luckily mild symptoms for the most part but started coughing some blood after a few days).

Love that even in Britain now there are so many BLM protests breaking lockdown laws and no one seems to really care. We hit 40k recorded Corona deaths yesterday, it's only gonna get worse now cause the sheep of the country are blindly supporting this movement and thinking protests in front of our parliament are somehow gonna fix the police system in America :c

Literal kids, not even 10 years old, who live in the street next to mine, were chanting BLACK LIVES MATTER randomly to each other yesterday. I doubt they even know what it means other than some people on tiktok were doing it so they're gonna join in too. My social media feed is now pretty much 99% BLM shilling and I've seen pretty much every white guilt fueled infographic from this thread at least once being shared by people I considered close friends. People saying shit painting whites to be basically the scum of the earth who can never do enough to help. I'm probably gonna lose friends because I've shared shit from expose antifa and called out looters/rioters even though at the same time I want any police cunt who's been filmed being a power hungry wankstain to get what's coming to them.

Fuck this timeline man :c 2020 can suck on my non existent nutsack.

Be careful. Some farmer here shared an anti looter meme and the mob tracked him down and made everyone he sells to stop buying from him. Now he has to attend maoist struggle sessions and reeducation just so they may, eventually, leave him alone and move onto someone else.

It sucks to realize that 60% of your fellow compatriots are vermin with no human value whatsoever when push comes to shove. But hunker down and vent anonymously. Especially in your country where they don't even need the mob to throw you in jail for wrongthink. This whole bizarre episode would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic.

Honestly, here's the thing:
I think useless degrees should be either illegal, or extremely low cost. For non useless degrees, I think people should be (somewhat) guaranteed a good paying job if they're going to shell out that kind of money OR be retrained for free if they can't find a job (if they did well in school) OR have severe limits placed on tuition. Universities are fucking students over so hard now, from all angles (financial and job opportunity-wise). Boomers only had to pay like 3K per semester before they decided to fuck their own kids over and allow Universities to jack the prices through the roof. This nonsense of going 200K into debt for a job at Starbucks has to fucking stop.
I'll give Millennials 15% of the blame for sucking at life. They were 85% fucked before they were even born.

I’m finally ready to admit here that I have one of those useless degrees. I’ve read more Foucault, the Frankfurt School scholars, and Marx than virtually any of these fools parroting words like “intersectionality” without any knowledge of the narrow original scope of the theory. State and federal aid paid for the bulk of my tuition. Thankfully, that useless degree hasn’t held me back and I have a career I enjoy that pays well. Also 2020 redpilled me hard.

Everything you said is true. The entire university system needs to be revamped. It’s rotten in a million different ways.

ah, but they didn't have woke social media/corporation propaganda to successfully reprogram them

A bit late, but those loaded "ethics" questions have always pissed me off.
They always leave out a lot of factors: Are you given an option to kill the psycho who is trying to goad you into killing? Are you given the option to kill yourself and thus deprive the psycho the satisfaction of seeing his experiment come to fruition? You can't just plunk a scenario in front of a person and tell them they only have limited options when reality is chaotic and you can choose to do a large number of things besides "nothing" and "bitch out and do what the psycho tells you to." And your options will depend largely on your individual circumstances.

There's also the problem that anyone psycho enough to put you into a position where you are forced to kill other people would not be trustworthy. How do you know the lever that switches the position of the trolley is correctly marked? The psycho might tell you that switching the trolley to the right routes the trolley to the track with one person on it, when it, in fact, might switch the trolley to the track with five people on it. The psycho might be honest about the working of the levers, but he could have placed an important scientist and/or philanthropist on the track with the one person on it, and 5 child molesters on the track with the 5 people on it. Who do you decide to save then?

When thinking about the Trolley Problem, I'm reminded of a scene I saw in the anime Gankutsuou. In the first episode, a pair of aristocratic teens are invited to dinner by a mysterious Count, who starts to get creepy and manipulative with one of the boys who is the son of his most hated enemy. The Count then presents the boy with an interesting game to pass the time:

It's strongly indicated that this outcome was rigged by the Count from the start, and he was doing it specifically to cause distress to the boy and manipulate him. How much worse could you feel, than knowing you turned loose a murderer while trying to save an innocent man? Perhaps, when presented with a problem like this, the only winning move is not to play, but which of us would have the nerve to do nothing?

What distresses me about professors who push the "Do nothing; you won't be responsible" angle for the Trolley Problem is that it's all a lie. You are responsible for the things you choose NOT to do. But in some cases, doing nothing might be the best case scenario because (A.) you don't trust the person giving you the choice to be representing the scenario honestly, or (B.) you might think that doing something might have a worse result than if you had chosen to do nothing. Whatever you do, you don't choose the Do Nothing option because it absolves you of any responsibility for the psycho's actions. As if THAT'S the most important outcome to ensure. "Oh sure, people died, but at least I came away with a clear conscience." I suspect the reason these deranged academicians post the Trolley Problem to their students is the same reason why the Count played his "game" with the boy; to cause distress, and break down the psyche of impressionable children to make them easier to manipulate.

(Yes, go ahead and toss those puzzle pieces at me...)
I never enjoyed any class where the professor mentioned the trolley problem in more than passing but, in its defense, I think the intention is to get one to consider which variables are important and might change the calculation, as you were doing. If a professor is talking about it at any length for no reason but to demand the students accept the rationale for their interpretation of the base condition as valid, whether that be 'lol do no harm, keep hands hidrate' or 'save more people obv,' then they're probably a (((tenured))) hack and you should find something better to do in your class than listen to them.

Those who fail to learn, are doomed to repeat. That isn't just a cliched saying.

Talk about wanting to smack whoever was laughing during the filming of this.

Those kids hearts were broken.

Not because they are racist, but because they wanted a doll and got some shitty looking fucking thing.

I feel like us rational sort are the analytic "school" of philosophy, and the wacko looney buttfuck left are the continental "school".

Where he share the meme and how the fuck he get tracked down unless he broke the kiwifarms opsec rules?

If he did then I stand by my positions its time be bring back anonymity by using fake names, don't share any pictures that show you or your family and use fake burner email accounts from non american companies like I do.

Ice "Mother Fucking" T has been talking about shit like this for years just listen to this clip from him on Arsenio in '89.
Ice T does seem like the type to talk straight and tell it like it is.

I refuse to donate money blindly ever again. Donate time, donate goods or services, but no money. Charities and nonprofits and GoFundMe scams mismanage and misuse and outright embezzle money all the time.
That's the rub. Everyone on social media is telling demanding others do x, y, and z if they truly support "the cause" even though the social media folks are the same ones who are the true slacktivists that do nothing of value. They either don't know or don't care that change comes from action and not words on a screen.

This also highlights the importance of vetting charities. Many shady ones have a tendency to mimic the names of legit ones to muddy the waters. If they can't prove themselves to be reputable they don't deserve money.

I dunno. The MLK street in my town is a pleasant little winding strip through a hilly piece of streetcar-suburbia.
That and MLK did far more to promote equality than anyone touted as a martyr in $CURRENT_YEAR.

And his reaction to the rioting black whining of late is basically "They can either pull themselves out of the pit or complain they got themselves in it, but getting out is their choice."
Any many not only stay in the pit but drag down more people to join them and actively hinder those wanting to get out. *sigh*

Parents should teach their kids its alright to like cartoons but its just entertainment.
I was taught early on that what was seen on TV or a movie screen was "pretend", "make believe", or otherwise not real and shouldn't always be imitated. I'm not sure what to think about so many adult-aged people taking fictitious works so seriously today. NGL, it can be downright horrifying at times.

Cops get shot on domestic disturbance calls all the time. It's a pretty dangerous call I believe since there's pretty frequently some intoxicated, belligerent person with a weapon.
I've heard that domestic calls tend to be loathed, if not feared, by police simply because the term is so encompassing that it could be something as simple as a couple having a loud argument to all involved parties going after each other with weapons -- and there's no way of knowing what to expect until arriving at the scene most of the time.

One of the reasons they don’t like these visits is because DV calls can lead to additional charges— usually drug and weapons possession or an outstanding warrant— which only proves how dangerous the situations are and how quickly they can escalate.
I imagine this also holds true in states with so-called mutual combatant laws where the police arrest all parties if and when they all point the finger at each other.

Just the fact they can do blanket curfews like this, starting so early in the day, shows we're already in the "new normal": overton window for government power has shifted more in the past three months than in the last 20 years combined.
Funny thing is many cities probably have long-standing curfews on the books that never get enforced. When Detroit had its infamous Devil's Night tally of 800-plus fires over a three-day span, one way it chose to combat the problem was to reestablish what I believe was an existing curfew for anyone 15 and conveniently gets enforced those 3 days out of the year and ignored otherwise even though word spread that the curfew those days was serious business.

The Governor has issued a response to criticism of her actions. The state is closely monitoring the spread of Corona, but has not noticed a spike in cases from the protests as of yet.
Yet this is the same governor who condemned peaceful anti-lockdown protests in the state and extended restrictions out of fear the protestors that didn't take precautions would start a second wave of infections. Which is it, gov? 🤦‍♂️

Hmmm... maybe because the black community was telling each other that it only affected whitey?
Even though our Afrian-American Lieutenant Governor asked for (and got, IIRC) a panel to investigate why African-Americans get COVID-19 at higher rates than white people. 🤷‍♂️

I don't know how many of you have had to take a mandatory ethics class in College for your degree or to update/modernize your degree, but Ethics is one of the classes that needs to be fumigated with napalm.
The worst is how many colleges now require a mandatory "Diversity" class which makes BLM talking points or the failed Starbucks sensitivity training seem tame in comparison. A kiwi some time ago posted experiences from their version of the class that's required by all degree-seekers. It was about as awful as one would expect for independently-minded white students.

This is why you do a STEM major, my ethics was "Engineering Ethics" and was basically just don't cut corners cause that's how shit like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge happens.
My university's CS program added a class for graduating seniors that was equal parts semester-long design project and a study of social/ethical issues. It wasn't an easy A, but the social/ethical topics at the time boiled down to, "Don't cut corners testing code because people die or get fucked up badly, Asian culture hates copyrights, don't get addicted to technology, and groupware that tracks team members' individual habits can easily be seen as snoopware."

Tiktok witches want to put a curse on Trump.
I guess they forgot what happened when Tumblrinas tried to curse Trump so he'd lose on election day. Spoiler: It failed in the worst way possible.

Listen motherfucker, you owe me a beer and a new keyboard!
Did you at least get the cat out of your lap first? 🐱

I can imagine an entire state going "Put me in, coach! Put me in!".
Now you've made me do it:

the problem is there are laws people follow and once they don't whites demand they throw laws off the books because they care about consistency and whats put on paper. but non-whites and everyone under 50 doesn't care. they could have a full curfew, if they enforce it as well as those "more than 3 non-related women in the house is illegal because its considered a brothel" then it wont matter.

look at speeding, its similar, the chance of getting caught is low enough that people speed, but once it hits reckless territory people are a lot more likely not to pass that limit, because the chance of getting caught plus the punishment is more than they can handle. honestly if they enforced all laws as badly as they do curfew

trust me I usually do, it’s more the Vegas odds that have me spooked. Those guys have money on the line so they usually cut the bullshit. I suspect that will return to mean after this week especially as the riots die down, the economy opens back up and people start to look forward to the summer. I do hope Biden doesn’t cuck out of any debates though. I’m in dire need of entertainment and watching a Democrat get eaten alive on stage is just the thing I need to satisfy me.
on election day it was still 4:1 odds of trump being elected, 2 weeks prior it was 10:1, betting is basically as reliable as 4chan dubs and trips. it relys on millions of people being right.

He was a Stanford student who got only six months in jail (and ended up serving three) for raping an unconscious girl. Fucked up, but irrelevant to current events.
its not that fucked up either. because its usually niggers going in and out of prison, and because of justice reform the last 25 years demanding we do better when it comes to helping out career criminals, most people get absurdly light sentences their first time committing a crime. thats because the laws are designed around people that get convicted 9 times during their adult lives. what happened with Brock is more of a case of the nigger laws working in a white kids favor. most other people convicted of the same crime at his age serve similar time. basically its like points on your license, you dont lose your license forever the first time you commit a driving violation, same thing here.

TL;DR our justice system is centered around giving people 9 chances, so if you fuck up once its never that bad. its been this way since the late 2000s as a backlash aganist 3 strike laws.

ah, but they didn't have woke social media/corporation propaganda to successfully reprogram them

That stuff is just as ephemeral. When's the last time you seen one of those Woodstock hippies walking around? When the attitudes of the time change, the corporations make do and change with them. We're stuck in a wokefest hellhole but it won't be that way forever. Nothing ever is. Some huge event will come or the next generation will grow up and will be completely fed up with it enough to want to change it.

The times change. Social media plays a huge role in oversaturating this mindset but you can't change restless people wanting to upset the status quo. And when everyone's a mindless bot beep booping about how bad Orange Man was a decade or so ago, the grown up kiddos will flock to nu-Twitter or NuTube or whatever the fuck online thing is hip with the teens and say "LOL MOM AND DAD DIDN'T KNOW SHIT" and bam, a new generational mindset is born.
