Depending on the outcome they want, they can omit the "criminal" or "unarmed" portions of their data. So if a dude is trying to shoot his way out of a drug bust on his meth farm, he could be counted as an illegitimate shot solely because he's black. Other data sets painting a more objective picture (i.e. it's okay for lethal force to be used on people who act in a way that requires it to protect others) or a more dire racial picture (i.e. doesn't matter, still black and shot, counts as racism regardless because this would never happen to a whitman) can figure out how to do that.Anyone have a source for this? I went looking, and found this, sourced from this article, which seems pretty thorough, to me.
