Who's gonna pay Rhys $100 to fuck off?Wait, so we're not talking about Slumlord Rhys, we're talking about Trailer Park Rhys?!![]()
Berkeley County is the poorest of the four counties. I found a unit in Berkeley County that sold for $78k in 3/2020 to Friendly Fox Housing, LLC. Friendly Fox Housing is registered to a PO Box at 1643B Savannah HWY Ste 259 Charleston, SC 29407. This address is a UPS store an 11 minute drive from Rhys's current residence on Stallion Ct.
i don't think he realizes the us govt sets a certain 'legal rent' (exactly like a pay-scale in the military or other govt occupation) on each unit, you do not get to set your own price.Well, he profited off of one of his fellow slumlords. The actual people on welfare are going to drain him dry as you said. If the place was a money factory the previous owners wouldn't have been so eager to sell it that they'd come down 30 grand.
ACKshually, it's called "playing to win".But, he is an expert in CHEATING, isn't he?
How regulated is Section 8 landlording, do you know? Will he have requirements to take all tenants that qualify or can he choose who to rent to? Is the government likely to check in and make sure the housing meets any sort of standards? Stricter rules on evictions than regular rentals?i don't think he realizes the us govt sets a certain 'legal rent' (exactly like a pay-scale in the military or other govt occupation) on each unit, you do not get to set your own price.
you have to apply for a voucher. the voucher, your subsidy, decides where you get to go:ACKshually, it's called "playing to win".

The gov't does not really check up on the state of the house, at least not regularly. My slumlord neighbor's house was neglected for many years. A nice Afghani family lived there, but finally moved when he refused to fix anything in the house. He even tried to make the tenants pay the HOA fees. They asked me about it and I told them to tell the landlord that was his responsibility and not to pay it.ACKshually, it's called "playing to win".

The articles of organization can be purchased here.I want to know how this deal came together and how Rhys found out about these properties. I want to know whether Dan Daugherty is also a part of Friendly Fox Housing LLC or Foxy Holdings LLC. And I really want to know whether Rhys is going to manage the properties himself! Finding tenants and dealing with their issues plus maintenance issues is a massive shitload of work. And being a landlord is not exactly a cash bonanza.
I don't know about CofC, but I assume he at least sees a future with whatever sugar daddy is bankrolling this.He really does see a future at CoC and in Charleston, I guess.
There are three corporations involved in this deal: Friendly Fox Housing, Friendly Fox Remodeling, and Foxy Holdings, LLC. Foxy Holdings is not registered in South Carolina. The articles of organization can be purchased here.

There are a couple of other "Foxy Holdings, LLC" registered in other states that do not appear to be connected to Rhys. But a Foxy Holdings, LLC, was registered in Maryland in March 2020. The resident agent, Douglas Walker, is an attorney from Baltimore...where Dan Daugherty is from. @Kosher Dill, I think I know who that sugar daddy is!

OK, so Foxy Holdings is Daugherty and Rhys's shell corp. This explains why Rhys has sounded so weirdly ignorant about the real estate deal: he didn't really do the deal, Daugherty did. But why do they need TWO MORE LLCs in Friendly Fox Housing and Friendly Fox Remodeling? Is there a legitimate reason for this? All I can think of is money laundering by using one corporation to pay the other. Or maybe the setup is that Daugherty (Foxy Holdings) is gonna pay Rhys (Friendly Fox Housing & Remodeling) to manage the properties?
2019 annual evaluation by department chair Larry Krasnoff
Service – Unsatisfactory You did a great deal of service to the wider community in 2019, through your public philosophy essays and your media interviews. In many ways, the media attention you have received is as a cyclist and not as a professor, but you are in a position to use your platform as a transgender woman cyclist to draw attention to your scholarly work. But you also received media attention in 2019 for remarks that forced President Hsu to remind the public that the College “expects its faculty members to make every effort to exercise appropriate restraint and show respect for the opinions of others when engaging them on challenging issues.” Failing to meet this standard will undermine the service contributions of your public philosophy work. Your service to the College was more modest, consisting of work reviewing student funding proposals for the Women’s and Gender Studies Program and on the undergraduate research committee. Kris de Welde reported that you reviewed your assigned WGST proposals. However, Beth Meyer-Bernstein reported that you did not fulfill close to all of your assigned responsibilities on the URCA committee. When completed, this kind of work is adequate to contribute something to campus-wide service, but will fall short of the leadership contribution that is part of the standard for promotion to Professor in service. You did complete the small service projects assigned to you during your alternative duties in the spring of 2019. Beyond that, though, your service to the department this year was non-existent. You did not volunteer to assist with anything, and you failed to do even the minimal things that your service expectations letter reminded you that every department member is expected to do (and not receive any special credit for). You did not attend a single department meeting or event, either in person or by Skype, and so absented yourself from every departmental deliberation and activity. Though you have disability accommodations from the EEO office, those accommodations say, “It is essential that all faculty attend department meetings and participate in the governance of the program.” At this point, you are simply not meeting your basic obligations as a citizen of the department.
