If numbers and revenue is what the media cared about they wouldn't have pulled Cops and Live PD (the most watched weekend cable programming on both Friday and Saturday nights) from the air. Media isn't about making money, not directly at least.
As optimistic as this may sound, I think they pulled Cops and Live PD to appease the mobs as a temporary measure, same why HBO Max removed Gone With The Wind but said they will bring it back on with a disclaimer since it also netted the first Academy Award for a black person at a time when race relations were somehow worse than they are now.
Still, I doubt they'll actually bring back Gone With The Wind completely uncensored, disclaimer or no disclaimer, if they do at all. The only reason why they even publicly entertained the mere notion of bringing it back with a disclaimer is because of Hattie McDaniels winning the Oscar for that movie. Otherwise, it'd be memory-holed worse than Birth of a Nation.
Invest in physical media and sail the high seas if you're daring and smart enough to try it. Worst comes to worst, cancel your streaming subscriptions if you really want to make a statement.
Also, cable TV is in decline anyway and shows like Cops and Live PD mainly skate by because they're in dead-end timeslots and are ultra-cheap to make.
If the pendulum swings back before it can be bolted down permanently (and if it does, it will swing hard) then it won't be too hard to revive Live PD and Cops. Only things that might change would be a disclaimer and slightly more rednecks and less hood rats, maybe with a few more POC's and female officers being followed with the camera.
As for Tucker Carlson, I don't think Fox News will get rid of him so long as Trump watches his show and he keeps pulling in good ratings. Thanks to their antics in the Bush years, Fox News is already written off as "CNN for neocons and traditionalists" and is seen as beneath suspicion like talk radio is. Even then, Tucker's the one guy who defies that image and that's why he's their golden goose. Same reason why YouTube never cancelled PewDiePie despite the wokesters and most likely Susan herself hating his guts for years.
If Fox News is to cancel Tucker, then the coup is far worse than we think. Killing a golden goose at their peak is one of those warning signs too obvious to memory hole, even if you're trying to push a narrative.
Given how many Antifa bigwigs are supposedly getting visits from the party vans, it's possible that the neoliberal/GloboHomo bigshots are getting ready to cut the line and throw them under the bus since the monster is getting beyond their control.
A Trump win in 2020 might also scare enough of them to more or less put their shitty fan sequel to the Cultural Revolution on hold for a while, even if only for pragmatic reasons.
