I will never understand these damned progressive socialist types and their damned autistic train fetish. If you're going to be a sperg about impractical bullshit, at least make it about luxury airships. They might be slow, but they could have baccarat and some fucking class.

The train fetish is so weird. Also, the person that’s praising Japan for their trains probably doesn’t know that Japan has one of the strictest immigration policies in the world.

Now this is really bad :

Looks like some people are asking the UN to intervene in the US.

Ready for the pedophile armed globohomo forces invading ?

First of all these idiots don't even know that sending UN-Peacekeeping troops is a decision to make by the UN Security Council in NYC and not the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland.
The UN Security Council surely will send UN-Peacekeeping troops to CHAZ, to save the lives of some incompetent imbeciles. Sure, sure. *roflmao*
Let's see who the members of the UN Security Council are:
Permanent: USA,UK, France, China, Russia
Non Permanent: Niger, Tunisia, Vietnam, Estonia, St.Vincent-Grenadines, Dominican republic, Belgium, Germany.
Also worth mentioning that under Article 27 of the UN Charter, Security Council decisions on all substantive matters require the affirmative votes of three-fifths (i.e. nine) of the members. A negative vote or "veto" by a permanent member prevents adoption of a proposal, even if it has received the required votes.
Which means one of the permanent members vetoes the decision (*cough* USA *cough*) and the whole thing is done for. But that's theoretically anyways because simple civilians have not the authority to call for UN-Peacekeeping troops to begin with.
These people are so fucking uneducated it's mind boggling, but to be expected by a college system which teaches stuff like Queer studies, Gender studies, African-American history and all that other worthless diversity shit.

How is this high speed rail shit a better idea than air travel
Negroids can operate it?

Actually, it's supposedly green, and efficient (as long as the loads are high enough, empty trains are bad for the earf too) and it's in japan and europe so you KNOW it's the right thing to do.

(Hurry up and install it! My australian E-thot sugarbaby always makes fun of me for riding the bus!)

Japan is a smaller country than the United States. And they're ahead of the curve when it comes to productivity and technology.

Pelosi renews call to remove Confederate statues from display in US Capitol

Pelosi noted in her letter Wednesday that among the 11 statues in the Capitol "are Jefferson Davis and Alexander Stephens, President and Vice President of the Confederate States of America, respectively, both of whom were charged with treason against the United States."

I don’t know if this has been posted yet, but feel free to mark me late if needed.
If they replace it with a statue of Jim Jones with the subtext of "Thank you Nancy and Diane", I'm fine with this.

Try explaining to Jap citizens how a sizeable number of your classmates in HS graduated to never, ever get a job because they were able to get someone to put them on 'Disability' at 20. Their reaction tells me everything I need to know, their system would never work here. They have shame, and duty. Things we actively deride. What's that saying? "

"Consequences are a tool of the Patriarchy"

Rail is such a fuckin' bugman thing anyway. The average person doesn't have any interest in constantly visiting giant, shithole urban centers. They're happy living in a place with less crime and more space, and people who share their lifestyle. It's so much the new weird, everywhere-is-the-bay-area, marvel blogger bullshit that we really want to be able to head up to Chicago, New York, and D.C. any time in only a day. I guess everyone 30 and under exclusively works min wage blogging, editing youtube vids, or policing social media in one of these big cities and they need a way to visit their parents to lecture them about voting for cheetoh hitler.

The act of driving is the indulgence of freedom and agency, a task that can be enjoyable as an end in itself, but these types don't understand adrenaline, or the enjoyment of building, modifying, and operating something you have an intimate connection with. Nope, screw that, gimme a 16 hour train ride so I can consoooooooooooooom the latest marvel and disney streaming services! I can't wait until I see the new "lizy mcguire"animated movie and the "kim possible" live action series!

This. One of my favorite summers when I was growing up we just drove across the America, staying with friends and family. It's eye opening in a way these urban bugmen will never understand. These dumb urbanites will travel everywhere in the world but their own country. America is a vast, beautiful, and sometimes empty place, but it's worth seeing. I guess their souls are too small for it.

It's not. but tiny-ass Europe has it so people think it's superior.
Well to be honest, for the short distances we have here in Europe/ Germany, trains, and so on are an alternative to flying. People always forget about the vast size of the USA, IIRC, Texas alone is 3 or 4 times the size of Germany. Germany hasn't even the same landmass as Montana.

Having lived by, around and with the kind of people who war-gamed, fantasized, and practiced for the U.N. backed troops invading their town like it's red dawn? Holy shit those poor conscripted Nigerians, Grenadines, and all 6 Belgians are in for a hell of a time even taking back the subway sammich shop.

This reminded me of someone I was once friends with (online, lol). We were talking about cars and I mentioned that my dad taught me how to change a tire. My friend said, "Yeah, I just pay someone else to take care of that."

I am no longer friends with soyman.

Interesting how Pelosi says "charged". Is she prepping to pull a similar sleight of hand with Trump's "impeachment"?

Friend of mine I was talking with brought this up, these are from the autobiography of the last Prime Minister of Rhodesia. His face is the definition of "If only you knew how bad things really are." and the later cover of him as an older man screams "Man who thought he'd lost all hope In humanity loses last additional bit of hope he didn't even know he still had."
