I was referring to the virtue-signaling efforts to teach poor blacks how to shop at farmer’s markets, cook and bake shit that costs more than they’d otherwise spend on food. Home-baked bread is delicious, but when you need to bring in more income and you can get a loaf of bread for $3-4 or less, pissing away time making bread makes no sense. (Unless baking is a source of needed relaxation and calm, for example.)

That wasn’t what I claimed. My point is if I am living on the poverty line and can either spend 10 hours a week earning coin or tending a garden, making money makes a lot more sense.

There's a real irony to them not only not being able to farm, but pretending to be self-sufficient as they order/extort people for delivery. It really is like they're having a party in mommy's backyard.

Trump replaced or nominated a new air force general to chief of staff yesterday. Whereas Mattis just backstabbed him today so we all know where he stands. Esper as well is a traitor as well and has that neocon look to him. Maybe Trump sometime soon fires two of these fuckers when the time is right before the election.

Maybe from some pure utility perspective but if I can spend 10 hours puttering around at home doing something enjoyable or 10 hours at some shitty hellhole I hate, I'm picking something at home. Not many poverty wage jobs are particularly fun.

You save so much money by cooking your own food compared to so-called "cheap food". A 6-piece chicken mcnuggets (just 3oz of chicken) costs $4 and a medium fries (4oz of potatoes) costs $2, meanwhile 1 lb of chicken from your local grocery store costs $8 and 2lbs of potatoes cost $4. It takes about 1 hour to cook all that chicken+potatoes and you have a week's worth of meals ready to go. If you really want to splurge you can buy some salt for an extra $2 and dump it all over your potatoes to really get the full McD's experience. "Cheap food" is a fucking scam that tricks obese morons.

You can usually get a whole rotisserie chicken for $5, that isn't even cooking your own. Potatoes are practically free and even potato flakes are ridiculously cheap. You can turn a chicken carcass or two into chicken soup overnight in a slow cooker for practically no work and add any random vegetables, rice, noodles, whatever for another couple days worth of food.

The main issue for really direly poor people, though, is lack of access even to a basic kitchen.

People in poverty aren’t working for fun, though. If I’m struggling and it’s a choice between $100 in my pocket to pay rent or whatever yield I’ll get from 10 hours of gardening this week, I’ll take the cash every time.

The reason Milwaukee doesn’t riot like Seattle is the city is so segregated that the only protests I see are white people with no blacks and they don’t want blacks protesting with them, Another reason for no looting is that all the stores are in the suburbs and the suburbs don’t want them in their communities. The only areas that are growing are the white parts of the city with some upper class Latinos living with the whites.
