It was fundamentally a war between brother and family, and we are luck that it ended the way it did. Instead of turning into a decades long Guerrilla War that it could have easily devolved into. My brother mentioned this earlier today when he asked if I was up-to-speed about the CHAZ silliness. They're playing by a rulebook, but it feels like they're skimming or skipping over steps so they can get to their utopia faster. Except the rulebook was meant to be used in stealthy ways to stay in the shadows and not let anyone notice you being up to no good. I think this is more evidence that they simply did not expect Biden's health, both physical and mental, to start failing so fast. They thought he'd stay relatively coherent and upright at least into 2021 and were counting on him being able to make at least a token effort of actually standing up to Trump. Him starting to fall apart on them even in 2019 was not the plan, but I think by then their course was set and they just refused to alter it. So now it's just this mass blitz of anything they think will work, but more importantly will distract from the fact that their candidate is about one particularly hearty meal away from a blood pressure spike that would put him in a permanent vegetative state.

I had a history teacher that was in favor of tearing down Confederate statues in 2018. His reasoning was that they were commissioned by people against the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s. He was also Canadian.

Also, they aren’t just tearing down Confederate statues, they want to tear down anything that’s “problematic”. By their standards, anyone that existed in the 19th century and before was racist (which doesn’t make sense because they’re applying modern morals and values to past people and events).
