Anyone even slightly familiar with west-coast politics and Seattle in particular shouldn't be surprised that the mayor is this stupid. Seattle has been sinking into a sewer nonstop for the past 5-6 years, and the politicians responsible for it have been wearing shit-eating smirks on their faces the whole time. I had a history teacher that was in favor of tearing down Confederate statues in 2018. His reasoning was that they were commissioned by people against the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s. He was also Canadian.

Also, they aren’t just tearing down Confederate statues, they want to tear down anything that’s “problematic”. By their standards, anyone that existed in the 19th century and before was racist (which doesn’t make sense because they’re applying modern morals and values to past people and events).

I still believe that they're mad as fuck because the elites truly thought he was "one of them" by allowing him into their circles. They all used to worship and kiss the ground he walked on, and they all cracked jokes and stuff about their debauchery lifestyles. But another thing that I think really gets under their skin is that Trump knows all of their dirty secrets, he has connections everywhere, and he's more than willing to use it against them. They want to be praised for being "brave" or some shit like that, they don't want to wait, they want it right fucking now like the entitled little shits they were raised to be.

That's why it looks like they're scrambling around like maniacs, they're not a patient group in the slightest. This generation (give or take a few) grew up in an age where things are instant, you don't have to wait around or work hard at something when it's already prepared for you and you just do the bare minimum effort. Nothing moves or works fast enough to get what they want, so they're getting a dopamine rush now because what if tomorrow they decide they don't feel like doing it anymore or something else comes up that slows it all down?

None of them are thinking long-term, which is why it's blowing up in their faces so quickly, but they're already too high off of the adrenaline and spiked kool-aid to realize this.
