Careercow Chuck Wendig / Charles Wendig / TerribleMinds - Terrible author, terrible person, ruined Internet Archive's online library

Props to Cuck for helping to make the internet a worse place though, many cows try but few actually succeed at it.
Gonna correct this a little. It wasn't just Wendig, it was also a bunch of groups he was a part of and the "Writers Union". The Writer's Union in particular is lobbying hard against this.

But if there's one thing Wendig was for this whole shitshow, it was a public face for this. His tweet went crazy viral more than anything these lobbying groups and unions could put out.

This faggot produces absolute shit tier comic books and deserves to get run down by a truck of peace. But I think on this occasion he's right. As a non-expert on copyright I don't see why he's wrong.

A normal library if it wants to loan out 300 books, needs to buy 300 books. If someone doesn't bring it back, they have to buy another book. Making infinite copies for free and letting people keep them forever without paying the authors, seems to be a pretty clear case of copyright infringement to me. Maybe I'm missing something.

Seems like no one likes him.
Not surprising. He has little to no good/ redeemable qualities. The only people who would actually like are people like MoiveBlob.

Also, his new pinned tweet:

Some ArsTechnica comments said the same thing, that legally the "free library" was a dumbass stunt. There was also some rational discussion over on their article on this. While there's some polarizing comments, there's people who think that both should just work it out and adapt to the new changing reality of digital ebooks.

Despite what some are saying on Twitter, Chuck didn't sue them. A few big publishers sued them.

And that wife's son's dad's name is Darnell - even better than Tyrone!

LOL. I say we officially re name him Cuck Wendig. Cuck Wendig the Simp.

Got to love how he has to insert his self loathing for Whites in there as well.

Apparently I'm blocked by Cuck. And he wonders why that T-shirt is a thing.

This deserves a shit happenings on the front page. I know it's minor compared to the riots and shit, but it will effect a lot more people than that fag Onision sending a DMCA.

"A bunch of shitty socialist writers destroyed Internet Archive's e-book sharing program in hopes it will get people to buy their shitty books." Or something like that. They deserve to have this hung around their necks and to be remembered for it.
The greatest irony here is the self-proclaimed leftists using copyright law to take down free information because they'd lose out on a few bucks.
Soycialists would be a lot less insufferable if they actually bothered to follow their own ideology.

Isn't there a time reading limit of a few days on some of these sites?

yes, actually there are many internet libraries that let people download limited DRM copies of books and keep them for a limited amount of time and if a copy is "out" to someone they don't let another copy be borrowed until the borrowed one is expired or is returned. Like a real library.

And like it is possible (but maybe not allowed) to photocopy books it is possible to remove the DRM and keep the files.

I don't know how the Internet Archive's library works or worked but still an "Emergency Library" that lets people download at will books is imho illegal in the US.

Some better writers than this pronoun idiot leave their books online, full text available in many formats, and if someone wants a hard copy they can still buy one, because however good e-books can be, they still need a battery and a working device and can't be left under the sun in a beach and have drinks spilled on them.

Yes you're right. It wasn't Chuck himself. But he was already in the crosshair of many of the Comicsgate guys so when he first posted about it, it was his tweet that caught most peoples attention.

Fair point, but I'm sorry. Chuck and his crew have decreed that no nuance is allowed in the public square and we must all screech and reeee like howler monkeys. Trying to ensure a fair and just hearing so that the innocent are spared just lets the guilty go free. And that's not social justice.

Sorry Chuck, but you have to be the martyr for the new world order you demanded.

Not just the comicsgate guys but all the IA supporters (many who lean "queer socialist" anyhow). He's the fall guy for all of this because his tweet got the most RTs and it's hilarious. His activism backfired hard on him and he's feeling the effects.
