The unanswered question I have with Jin is where it all went wrong. He said that before his depression he was a gay man who wasn't attracted to ponies. I doubt he was ever anything we would call normal obviously, but assuming it's true I want to know exactly how abjectly miserable he had to be to fall in love with a purple pony from a children's cartoon.
If I had to guess though, I'm guessing he's similar to Nick Bate. Always a problem.

How old is Jin? Some forms of severe mental illness like schizophrenia tend to manifest themselves in the mid to late twenties.

About mid 20's. He claims that report on him letting kids pet the pony and not bathing is a lie and that isn't his name (the one mentioned in it)

That fits then. He most likely started developing symptoms of severe mental illness and like most lolcows refused/didn't seek treatment.

I would guess 27 or 28. He said he hit puberty 14 years ago, and the journal when he said that was in 2013 or 2014. Assuming he went through puberty when he was 13, he's about that age.

We don't know too much about Jin's hardcore drug abuse period, but I'm guessing that it coincided with the onset of his mental illness as he tried to self-medicate, only to end up making things far far worse.

Again, I don't think Jin is pedo. This just sounds like another way for him to seek validation by taking Twilight out into public and encouraging others to interact with her. He targets children because he knows they're more likely to humor him. By now he's so detached from reality that I doubt he gives any thought to how this looks.
The fact that he asks children to pet something he's jizzed, pissed, and shat on speaks to his hygiene.

I'm gonna be honest, after reading "Chapter 1", he almost sounds sincere in how much he loves this little plush toy, and I was thinking 'well, okay, at least he's infatuated with it and respects it sort of, Dude sounds like he's totally in love, no harm is being done." but after knowing everything else... Hoo boy.
It's like somebody else in this thread said, this is a piss-poor attempt to cover up the fact that he just wants to be a kinky plushophile who gatekeeps his waifu. I really wish his therapist knew more beyond "i'm married to my favorite plushie,
super chaste and pure love" and is aware of what actually happens to the damn thing.

If you take away the 'purple' word, you'll get the main problem of Pony-Lovers. Even if not every one on there is so weird or mentally destroyed.
That's not so miserable, but...
You know, Jin is not the only one, so how miserable have to be some people to convince themselves that bastardised versions of a children's cartoon and commercial product exist (sometimes they create them) and to 'coexist' into that communities to encourage insanity between them? all of this is just a social fenomenon out of limits, and a result of isolation.
When they feel encouraged enough by his 'friends', things like the album becomes public.
Maybe there are worse cases, it's just some of them are shy or don't want to show this to the Internet, and that's the best option.

Having looked through this thread and found this link nowhere, I figured I'd drop it here because it details the observations of a normal stranger who'd apparently run into Jin, and is far rarer insight into him as opposed to the recollections from his perspective of transpired events, which are of course deluded beyond recognition.

This is part of why I feel the internet is dangerous to people who are not mentally strong enough. Without the net, crazy people just end up being crazy by themselves and might have a small chance to realize that maybe their talking rainbow colored cartoon horse that lives on tv doesn't actually live in their apartments. With the net, however, most anyone who is touched in the head by something crazy can find confirmation that it's ok via other crazy people. This doesn't only apply to lonely guys who find talking to girls too hard so they make up safe love. It applies to most loonies.
Now, to someone as nucking futs as Jin this wouldn't apply. Him not being on the net would just keep his brand of crazy away from other weak minds.
Of course if they were all off line then we'd have no cows to discus and laugh at.

The internet: A place of great knowledge, where facts upon facts can be discovered by individuals seeking them in mere moments. Also, ironically, a place where those who ignore the information made readily available to them can gather and encourage each-other's BS.
For the record, there are plenty of people in the community Jin was a part of who've stated in the past that they only discovered the community in the first place because of seeing Jin's stuff posted around the net. His great vocality about his feelings indeed makes it all the more hilarious, but surely it's held some sort of influence for those within the community, and I wonder how much smaller it would be without the absurd level of activity its progenitor members brought to the net.

But he was expelled of MLW and RLPV; Jin is very problematic, even for that people. People who support him seems to be a minority.
The main interaction between Jin and pony communities is created through childish conflicts.
Certainly there is some influence, because he is seen as a striking example of that life-style' on Internet, and now trolls are bothering him and other members, but he has so little shame and he's so evidently deluded and sick that he can't inspire others(especially normal people) to do the same.
