In the dark era that was the aftermath of the Cultural Revolution, there was family of assholes who were a neighbor of her's. Being the asshole family they are, they were a constant source of harassment for her, especially the son of the family, who was pretty much a delinquent. Yet despite all of that, she would regularly support them by sending them food for their ailing grandmother and that son when he got himself in jail. She believed that in order to live a long, happy life, one must not make an enemy. They may not return the favor, but at least upholding that mantra made her feel content and she lived to her 90s. I find your defense Fredrick Brennan and tending your site as a free speech haven of the internet despite the rallying of liberal and conservative NPCs comparable to my great-grandmother's actions. A truly noble man knows to love thy neighbor even when you know they will not love you back.

Also in the matter of starting a family, since men don't go into menopause, don't stress out too much. Mick Jagger managed to father a child at 70.

I haven't been around for long. I had another account before this one that I dropped after the September hack but, I remember when I first found this place. I was just watching Metokur streams and suddenly I ended up finding Null's MATI streams. I had no idea who Null was at the time, I had heard of Kiwifarms by name before but I didn't really know anything about the site. I thought it was great and the Deagle Nation stream was the stream that made me want to sign up because I just loved the idea of the farms as this place that archived and laughed at the antics of internet weirdos. It'll be sad to see this place go eventually, but ever since 8chan's collapse I have been use to having to jump ship to new places so its nothing new to me. I appreciate the work you have done to keep this place going for as long as you have though.

I know I'm going to get shit tons of flak for this, but if your looking out for your best interests Null, I'd sell the site or close it down all together. After that's done, do your best to get a job with some sort of stability. It's not going to be easy with people like Vordrak or Zoom will continue to try and fuck you, but nothing in life really is that easy. If getting employed by a company doesn't work out, get into private consulting or become a private contractor. You seem like you are more than qualified and have enough know how with programming and general computer science to get a well paying, steady job in some capacity.

Unfortunately, I don't think running the Kiwi Farms lends itself to a happy, healthy family environment. Me personally, I wouldn't want to raise a kid where the income constantly fluctuates and bills might not get paid from month to month, and your constantly burnt out and upset and can't be happy around your child because fires constantly have to be put out around the forum, whether it be insane people trying to ruin your life and take away all your income or it's whiny retards like Corbin screaming that the mods are bulling them.

It's my two cents, and it's bleak and depressing, but I think if your looking out for your own personal interests, letting the site go wouldn't be a terrible idea. If you're looking for stability, a more manageable workload, and to have fun again, getting rid of the source of all of the instability, negativity, and pressure is the way to go. Sometimes you have to cut the bad fruit off of the tree.

I have appreciated so much what this forum has given me, and I respect that this is only possible through your willingness to fight for the Farms and what they stand for, at an incredible personal cost.

Your decisions about the future will be your own, but all I will add is that I, too, passionately believe in the importance of free speech. That this is one of the last bastions of that concept without just being overrun by assholes with an ideology (they're here, but I'd say they haven't overrun the place) is incredibly important.

I think it's still worth fighting for, now more than ever. But I get the strain it must have to keep it running. So I hope you find a way to be happier, and I also hope that keeps the Farms running.

I understand and laud the grateful spirit of your post, especially since it evidently comes from a place of sincerity; and yeah, Null's been through hell and back for this place. But there's a pretty big difference between the utterly harmless compassion of your great-grandmother and the nature of this forum, imo. Practically likening the Farms to a saintly chapel is something I'm seeing a lot of in this thread, and while it might stem from some truth, I find it a little bizarre.
