Jezz fucking Christ.

So some drunk loser passes out in a drive through and the cops respond. I am sure some fucking nitwit will say that perhaps a social worker or medical should have come.

Hey, dumb fuck. Cops are first responders, they can and do provide medical assistance. Now they determine he is not in medical crises and decide to question the drunkard. Well, the loser decides to get into a scuffle with cops. He grabs as TASER and shoots it towards and officer.

The TASER can incapacitate the officer allowing the suspect to get the gun. The shoot was justified.

I hope cops abandon the cities and let them be looted and burned.

So, what are the chances that Rayshard Brooks's family end as multimillionaires thanks to another crowdfunding campaign?

Bonus if the coffin is made with any kind of precious metal.
100% to both.

Body cam footage of the Atlanta Wendy's incident. Look at how aggressive the cops are, talking calmly to him for minutes and not using force until he tries to make a run for it and grab their taser.

This is a tragedy this guy got shot. I don't know why others are taking the attitude of "resist arrest, get shot" being so okay. I was already pretty doubtful of this case because they shot him while fleeing but I thought maybe there was a risk to others in letting him go because he was a violent criminal like George Floyd or something. And I expected some aggressive person who provoked a fight. What I actually see here is a regular dude who voluntarily parked his car to sleep it off a little who had the cops called on him for no reason other than he was asleep in a parking lot. He was co-operative, polite, he was so far as I can see honest and upfront. He volunteered to walk the few miles back to his sister's if they wanted.

Why the Hell try to restrain him and take him away? No wonder he panicked. If, and I stress the 'if', the cops really had to do something about this guy, why not just write it up? Why the jackboot approach? This is no George Floyd so far as I can see. Cops escalated this one. Specifically the one we don't see as far as I can tell as the one behind the bodycam seemed a lot more understanding originally.

Was it the parking lot or the drive through? Either way, you're not allowed to sleep in a parking lot unless you have express permission from the owner, and even then it's not a good idea.
Why the Hell try to restrain him and take him away?
Because he broke the law.
No wonder he panicked.
You've got to be fucking joking. Why not just throw the laws out because someone might get hurt when they break them? Why does the entirety of your post sound like "bar bar bar bar bar bar"?

I counted the frames on the surveillance footage. 33 frames between the time Brooks fired the Taser at the cop and the cop fired back. At 30 fps that's 1.1 seconds. His arm was still outstretched towards the cop.

The cop didn't even put his hand on his gun until Brooks turned and aimed at him. He didn't actually pull it until he was fired on.

Any bleeding heart who says "but but should he lose his life over a Taser?" is an unrealistic whiner who isn't interested in the real world. You can't do a threat assessment and de-escalation in 1.1 seconds. You can't go from "my life is in danger" to "oh hey it's safe to just chase him" in 1/5th the time it took you to read this sentence.

And let me earn my MATI rating before I call it a night and go find a drink. There's some audio for a minute after the timestamp below. Listen to the fucking gall of this so-called witness who's going to spend the next week lying to everyone he meets.

"for no fucking reason! shot him!"
"I saw ya'll talking to him for 20 minutes, dude! Unarmed, non-violent, nothing wrong with how he conducted himself whatsoever!"
"both of your careers are done because you just shot a man for no reason!"
"we sat there watching these fucking pigs harass him for 20 minutes for no reason, and you fucking shoot him!"
"fucking pigs dude, every fucking time!"

George Floyd and David Dorn didn't deserve to die. But this race-baiting lying motherfucker deserves an 8 minute chokehold, and I'll applaud whoever finally does it.
You really have to admire how brainwashed people have become. It's really something, this fat fuck can watch this guy take a cops weapon and aim it at him and then defend the guy because, in his enlightened opinion the cops arrested him "for no reason".

We really are in a position where these people legitimately believe that cops should have to let black people go if they dont feel like being arrested. Thats not even a slight exageration, that is legitimatley their position, this is some wild shit.

Really? The entire world has had 2 weeks of ACAB shit. Cops being shot. Are you serious?

Eh, eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable for details like this. Or if you prefer to take inspiration from fiction that isn't Harry Potter or Star Wars, Rashomon.

I get what you're saying and see where you're coming from. Police have protocol that they should follow.

However, from seeing that video, the cops were being incredibly patient with the guy for about 26 minutes. It should've ended with a trip to the station and a possible fine. Nothing too drastic.

But he decided to become more belligerent as it progressed, even to the point of grabbing the officer's taser and FIRING it at them as he was running. It sucks that it ended like that, but his choices ultimately led up to his demise.

It also doesn't help that this guy isn't exactly innocent with prior run ins, that child abuse one set me off. And the immediate response to the shooting was yet another business destroyed. It's to the point where I just stopped caring for the time being, especially to where an ACTUAL documented case of police brutality happened just a couple weeks ago.

How did America respond? Peaceful demonstrations being overshadowed by the abundance of rioting and civil unrest that has plagued multiple cities to the point of untold amounts of physical, social and emotional damages that will take a long time to recover. Cops expressing their mental health despair online only to be met with harsh insults and discouraging remarks. Police being defunded and disbanded thinking that will solve anything. Millions of dollars and days of awareness on multiple platforms raised in the span of two weeks.

And that's STILL wasn't enough. Nobody wants to take responsibility. Just play the victim.

Let me add something. George Floyd's death was, well IS, m.ilked for all it was worth. It wasn't about police brutality anymore. Franchised like it was merch waiting to be sold. All I saw was greed and racism cloaked under a mask of activism. It disgusts me greatly that everybody missed the point of what was happening.
