I have a good explanation. When one is faced by an extreme threat, they experience tunnel vision. They focus on the threatening target and that is it. Such the officer could not have seen the TASER on the ground across from Mr. Brooks. So why the kick after the TASER is discharged?
The X2 TASER is capable of Drive Stun that can incapacitate someone through pain compliance and complete a circuit if one of the probes is on the target.

I can't even say I'm shocked. Even if they try to shut down all other avenues of discussion over what the public feels about this, it'll still come out on YouTube comments from boomer/throwaway accounts and the like bar.
The shooting is an even more clear cut case than George Floyd's death was. Aside from the autopsy and all which has led to endless debates over if it was the drugs in his system that did it or the cop's handling of the situation, that pretty much pissed people off because of the knee hold method of detaining him. Before the riots and giant corporate push there were people saying "this cop should be charged" on the early pages of the thread. This is literally the same situation you can watch in numerous bodycam videos. Guy grabs taser, gets shot, and half the time the cop is visibly shaken from this because this would have been avoided if the suspect didn't grab the gun.
That's also why there's a massive walkout taking place, because if the cops can't be prepared to perform their duties without getting a long prison sentence what's the point.
