The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

TLOU always sucked and all you fags that pretended "story" in vidya matters are just now realizing that
But story does matter in video games, I argue the more mechanically complicated a game is the more important a well crafted story is to make all the "busy work" within a game more worthwhile.

I don't think I'd particularly enjoy exploring the Von Braun in System Shock 2 had it not been for reading the diaries of the doomed crew. Deus Ex wouldn't be the same without the Cyberpunk thriller running seemlessly with the gameplay.

The thing is Naughty Dawg has only made it their expertise to make linear cinematic games. Which isn't a bad thing at all. But when you got a guy who clearly doesn't understand how to make a story calling the shots you've got a gigantic failure.

But i gotta say, the only demographic it'll appeal to is ryona freaks.
nope not even us

Welcome to the club of being a TERF we just got J.K. Rowling as a member. This is just proving their thesis that transgenderism is a just a way for men to harm and further hate women for their own gain.
i noticed trans people hate terfs and women who refuse to date trans waaaay more then male people who "hate" women and trans people, its almost like all the real women hating incels troon out

So I've been playing the first TLOU to see why everyone nutted over it in the first place and I have to say I agree with others saying that it's a game of its time and isn't really holding my interest.

>shooting someone on a first name

But regardless of that this scene kind of sucks. What I'm getting from the fade to black is a period of hours or maybe days where Ellie goes out to look for Joel and Tommy and somehow she has no backup? I know shit gets scarce in the post apocalypse but even hunter gatherers knew to travel in packs. Other than that, having Abby want to relish in killing Joel doesn't help elicit sympathy. From a pure writing perspective it would have been way better optics to have her confirm Joel was the guy who killed her father and from there either kill Joel the same way John Wick kills Iosef or Santino, where you can feel the anger but everyone understands that dragging it out is pointless or she gets into an actual fight with Joel and has to come out on top. In this scenario it would have been better if they were alone, rather than having a bunch of lackeys surrounding Joel and Tommy (another factor in making people dislike Abby, honestly).

All in all Abby killing Joel this way reads like one of those retarded violence fantasies that liberals like to project onto gun owners, where they have a moral blank check and thus get to indulge in their violent urges.

Our hero ladies and gentlemen. Here come two guys who you save from the hordes of infected, they are both grateful and very cordial with your group, just want to wait out the storm before they leave so that they don't burden your group, even offer your entire group to come with them and restock up on supplies before you all head out. They even introduce and shake hands like gentlemen, until one of them says their name is Joel...and your response is to beat him to death with a golf club, in front of his surrogate daughter. He even says "just shoot me and get on with it" and our hero decides to drag his death out. Doesn't even have the decency of telling him why he has to die a slow and horrible death. "Guess", do you know how long it's been since the outbreak you moron? How many people do you think he's killed and why would he remember or know anything about you?

Fuck you Druckmann and your fetish for depressing deaths and tranny sex.

This is shaping more and more up to appear to be a social experiment to determine how many people, during a period of global strife, will give money in order to be party to an experience designed to be as thoroughly unpleasant as possible.
You know, I would say, that Neil is a troll and just wants to shit incredibly awful, disturbing and distasteful game, but full of woke topics, like dykes, trannies and bigot sandwiches, so he could see progressive outlets and their sycophants praising it, while choking on their own vomit, but at this point it's obvious, that he is like that guy from "Serbian film". This is what art is for him.

>lgbt sex scene
But I thought Abby was a natural woman!
All those faggots sucking cock and agreeing that "criticism is mired in homophobia/transphobia". What the fuck is this? She's meant to be a roided out natural female according to Druckmann, who wished she was a tranny, but knows it would be shit if she was, so made her as manly as possible. Fuck twitter normies and their stupid justifications.

As someone who loved it, from both a narrative and mechanical point, it was a good departure from the normal kind of games we were used to. Even survival horror for the most part wasn't too survival-y or horror-y. But this one was this bleak emptiness that just kept kicking you while your down. And was written competently. Even the ending fit the story and ark. You never feel like a super powered god. You have low ammo and need to think. No rambo-ing.
