The sad thing is that Abby COULD have been made into a character people could actually sympathize with or maybe like in some way shape or form if some actual effort was put into fleshing her out as a character rather than shove her bitter tasting ass down our throats and then calling us bigots and transphobic when we spit it back out. We make fun of her hideous appearance more so because she's an ugly character more than anything else. Her looking like a troon is just a secondary failure to her as a character. Plenty of people have already pointed out why she's such a shit character handled in a shit way and tons of different ways she could have been written to make her 100 times better narrative wise.
This is why people hate the game. They don't hate the troon for looking like a troon. They hate her because she fucking sucks, is irredeemable, has plot armor that causes the rest of the cast to have the collective intelligence of a dog's turd around her, and worst of all, not only do they force us to play as a character that they make us hate within the first 2 hours of the game, but she gets away completely scott free and faces absolutely no repercussions for all of the fucked up shit she's done because once again, her plot armor causes Ellie to develop severe brain damage and decide to let her go after everything she'd been through just to get to her. You know, the whole fucking point of the game.

My best guess would be that they hire people for their marketing team which search for trends on Twitter. And we all know who yells the loudest on Twitter. They equate that to thereal life and they make demands like "We need this and that to amke the game appealiong to the masses" not mentioning that the masses are 2% The same in other companies like Gillete or what have you. Sure normies buy the product too though mostly out of brand-loyalty and they never come back if the product is bad. not to mention that the Twitteradi don't buy the product anyway no matter how much you bend yourself over

I think it would make more sense if we began playing as Abby, and her existence after Joel killed her father was portrayed as a living hell where she was forced to do unspeakable acts to survive. Instead she seemingly got born with a body that spontaneously creates proteins and testosterone. She has a posse that can't shut up about how great she is. Several love interests. And nothing about her interaction with the people around her makes her sympathetic or likeable

She suffers from a major case of Rey'ism. All you lack is her stealing the name Ellie or something

Boomer executives don't understand twitter and just believe "the young people" when they say that, uhm, akshually, everyone is all about this

Boomers tended to have higher trust in media and the power of media (rather than in independent people like streamers) and so they fear getting negative hit-pieces

The way negative hit-pieces come about is that the wokescolds working at these companies tell their buddies and pals working in journalism that they've got a scoop and a story, and no matter how few people actually read the fucking nothing of an article that comes out, the wokescold working there will use the company's gossip channels of communication to make sure everyone thinks it's a huge deal

when you work at a massive company, you get tuned in to a lot of news about said company that NO ONE else ever knows about, and people act like is a giant bombshell

So someone said earlier that life is strange 2 did so badly it killed off the series. Any truth to that that can be Confirmed? And if it is true and the same ends up happening to naughty dog over this debacle then Neil druckmann and all of ND will only get what they fucking deserve!
