Sounds like years of trying to support two kids and a freeloading gay couple have taken their toll.

My kid sister works in a really high-stress environment, & in the last year, one of who coworkers developed a brain tumor & the other had an aneurysm.

So what I'm saying is I wouldn't be shocked if this was the case.

I have a hunch that heather got exposed to COVID and has developed the blood clotting disorders associated with that condition. Abnormal clotting is one of the hardest things to manage about this disease, and you can have the blood clotting problems crop up without fever or lung problems or other typical symptoms. It is very rare for someone heather's age to suffer this kind of medical event, even with obesity (possibly hypertension?) thrown into the mix, women tend to be post menopausal before the risk becomes serious. Florida is having a pretty big boom in covid cases right now too, if I recall correctly. I could be wrong and she is just very unlucky, the stress she deals with certainly doesn't help.

I forgot about COVID-19 turning your blood to into gel. Most people I know who contracted it got it through work, & since Heather is the sole breadwinner, it wouldn't shock me if she was exposed early on.

Note: Zach & his ilk dismissed the coof as "just the flu" until Orange Man dismissed it too, causing everyone infected with TDS to do an about-face. It's entirely probable they all got sick before changing their stance.

Interesting that Heather's mother is designated her visitor today, and not Zach.

the show included this young gay guy with HIV, Pedro Zamora.

it was the early days of being 'gay positive' & pretty annoying. no stereotype "bitchy gays" on that show, all the gays were perfect PR tokens for the cause, good looking, smart, idealized & portrayed very positively.
they showed Pedro getting married to his devoted loving husband in a nice gay wedding. etc.

She is in the ICU, post procedure. I hope it is a big enough hospital to have a neuro ICU and not just a regular one.

Most people don't know this, but a good chunk of patients come out of the ICU traumatized. It is a really fucked up experience, especially if you're in there awhile. I hope they have her really doped up, at least.

Seconded. The only ones I feel sorry for are the kids, because they're left to the tender mercies of Zach, and might lose their mother. I don't feel sorry for Heather because she continued to suffer Zach gladly at the expense of her kids, but I don't wish her harm or death either.

That ICU room looks pretty pricey. The #1 cause of bankruptcy in America is medical costs. And many of those are people who actually have insurance. I had to stay in the hospital once for a week; my pharmacy bill alone was $20K (before insurance discount). Fortunately, I had good insurance.

They are going to need a lot of people to donate to that GFM.
