Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Far worse than that, the population is not just aging rapidly, but as of 2010 actually shrinking. Japan's median age is 48. Ours is 38. Many people have money in the Japanese Post Bank, and sooner or later they are going to want that money. Believe the bank will need to sell Japanese Government bonds to fund the outflow of deposits. Just a matter of when, not if the shit is going to hit the fan there.
The whole thing is a pyramid scheme, it only works for decades because the government basically forces everyone into it assuming that the population will always grow. The whole thing is completely fucked and there is no good way out of it to be honest.

Oh, that the Chinks released this on purpose is not a question. That the West fell for it by not treating them as enemies is also not in question.

What most people should realize is that our scientists should have seen through this ruse in a timely enough manner to avoid the disaster.
They had TDS in the brain though and no price was too great to slay the latest Hitler incarnation.

This kinda showcased how overwhelmed Drumpf is by the swamp.

Now with Niggmageddon, the very people he would rely on (the praetoria guard) demonstrate that it is the deepest portion of the swamp. See how feeble he appears when his generals outright contradict him. Old. Trump would have ass-raped Esper for saying what he did. Instead, he is allowed to spread perfidy so that the I her military faggots join the condemnation choir.

Trump has a LOT of things going on right now. The Chinese Flu, the rioting, the usual infantile shit from Kim Jong Un, and a number of things we don't know about. So he deserves a certain amount of slack. The election is about five months off. Lots of things can happen. Am just waiting for the first Trump-Biden debate. Joe - fucked. Very much doubt he will be able to keep up in a debate with anyone, much less Trump.

Give it a try you guys.

Bottom lines - impact on US overall health will be minimal. Most who have died of this disease have been elderly with other health issues. More Americans die in one month of cancer/heart problems than have died, until very recently, of the Chinese flu. There will be a vaccine in due course. Will have to be changed yearly to accommodate mutations, just like the "regular" flu. Economic impact greater, but recovery likely. The loss of trust and credibility by the people in their government and law enforcement will take a very long time, if at all, recovering. And the onus is on government and law enforcement to get back into the public's good graces, not the other way around.

So, here's the thing:

The number of cancer and heart-related deaths are going to skyrocket eventually due to the sheer amount of hospitals prioritizing COVID over literally everything else for these past 3 months. Many doctors offices were temporarily closed, even. Makes you wonder how many people missed their annual physicals (where a lot of these diseases are found and treated in as timely of a manner as possible) or have been experiencing health issues that are now being neglected because they either can't get an appointment or they've been scared shitless from going out everywhere.

One of my father's old buddies was just very recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Doctors found spots on his lungs back in February, and they literally denied him a biopsy until late May. It blows my fucking mind that cancer-related biopsies were not prioritized or considered "essential" at all, let alone for multiple months. The biggest asset to defeating cancer is TIME, and this man was denied a timely start to his treatment for months. Inexcusable and unacceptable, under any circumstances.

And, shit, think about the amount of kids who haven't gotten their vaccines this year, too.

COVID-19 is indeed a scary thing ... Because the overreaction to it is going to create far more problems and "unintended consequences" than the virus itself. Over the next couple of years, we're going to see some type of statistic where "disease-related deaths in the U.S. are higher now than they have been in decades," and the media is going to pretend they don't know why that is.

Everything is awful, and I hate it. Le sigh.

Someone older I know was having trouble breathing called 911 for some help a few months ago. The medics couldn't find anything wrong with her from her vitals, and said they could take her to the hospital to see if there's anything wrong with her, but warned her that there are covid19 patients there and she'd likely catch it if she went. Either trust that you can breathe well enough now, or take a ride down to the hospital where the medics guarantee you'll catch a respiratory disease.

It's a fucking shitshow.

My mom is dealing with the same kind of shit, only not cancer (this time, shes had 4 types and beat em all into remission, shes a machine i swear). She apparently had 2 minor strokes and has a benign tumor in her sinuses that causes pressure on her brain. She just finally got an MRI and found out what had her so off. She's been complaining of headaches, tingling and fogginess since late January, and they just got her the MRI last week. Fucking hell. She can't even get into a doctor for another 6 weeks. I'm thinking of moving her in with me. I have a big 4 bedroom house all to myself, just my and my dogs, and she loves my dogs and they her. I dont know why I'm blabbing all this shit here but I just found out a few hours ago, and I'm stoned and need to vent. Sorry.

Exclusive — Seema Verma: Cuomo, Other Democrat Governors’ Coronavirus Nursing Home Policies Contradicted Federal Guidance

Something I've been saying all along: governors like Cuomo have been putting Covid patients in nursing homes deliberately, despite the fact they know this virus affects the elderly more than any other population.

Now we actually have an official stating so authoritatively.

Is the media going to cover this? No. Dem Governors carrying out a hit on the elderly and no one cares.

"Cuomo’s guidance, issued in late March and later rescinded in early May, directly contradicted federal guidance. Other Democrat governors had similarly flawed policies that they have since rescinded, such as Pennsylvania’s Tom Wolf, New Jersey’s Phil Murphy, Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer, California’s Gavin Newsom, and others. The plans these Democrat governors and more put forward in the early days of the pandemic here in the United States forced nursing homes to take COVID-19 positive patients rather than keeping them at a hospital or somewhere else, which seems to have accelerated and amplified the spread and severity of the disease."

All of these places have a couple other things in common:

- They are members of the Government Alliance on Race and Equity

- They declared, or they are getting ready to declare, Racism is a Public Health Emergency

Furious right now. This is disgusting.

Not to mention they blamed Trump over that. Christ.

Anyone interested in Turkey Drama?

A rose garden in Oakland, Morcom Rose Garden, has been shut down temporarily. Basically, more people were visiting the usually-quiet garden because of the COVID-19 shutdowns limiting activities. This is not a bad thing at all, except for the fact that a small flock of turkeys in mating season live there. Male turkeys get territorial and aggressive during mating season, so there's been attacks.

Now, this has made people very upset. Wild turkeys are an introduced species to the San Francisco Bay Area (around the 1950s) and have lived in the garden for a few years. Apparently the male turkey that is causing trouble is a newer turkey to the garden, so he's less familiar with the status quo.

People are generally arguing that the turkeys should not be there at all, especially since they can cause damage to the roses. You can't just kill them, since even though they are non-native to Oakland, they're a North America native and thus it is highly regulated in California. Suggestions are to relocate the birds outside the garden to a different area, which would work because they don't have a rehoming instinct. The question would be where to relocate them to, and how to do it safely. Others argue that it would still stress out the turkeys to do so. I'm expecting a relocation effort eventually.

Update:

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife initially denied the permit to relocate the troublesome turkey, but reversed the decision after enough people complained (and after the turkey continued to harass people). The less-problematic turkies are staying to the dismay of volunteers who have to clean turkey shit, but Gerald is going to Oakland Hills.

Here are a couple of interesting stories.

First, NFG for these "health officials". If they approached their job the way our county's "health director" does, they should be lucky not to be tarred, feathered, and ridden out of town on a rail. Strongly believe a lot of these "health officials" came in their pants/panties at the chance to fuck with an entire county/state. They should let me be the state "health director". Hell, bet I'm as qualified as some of these turds. Shit, I bet my tiny granddaughter is as qualified as some of these fucks.

Amid threats and political pushback, public health officials are leaving their posts

Good. FINALLY some CA law enforcement people who are willing to tell that Nazi Newsom where to get off. Fuck Newsom, fully. Recall that sack of shit.

Local officials across California balk at Newsom face mask order, say they won't enforce it

On a different subject, believe a lot of people with heart issues/cancer get "telemedicine". Cardiologist/oncologist's office calls and some stupid little twat says your appointment is now by phone. Your answer should always be "no". These problems demand in-person attention throughout. You cannot listen to someone's heart over the phone. You cannot do tests over the phone. Don't believe they can force you to take "telemedicine". I told them no and in I went. If they give you any shit just tell them your attorney will sue the doctor for malpractice should you get "telemedicine" and your condition worsens.

Haven't kept up with the thread as of late, but I just got an email from the math department advisor saying the university is "leaning toward" making EVERY class online after all, save for labs impossible to do online. Are you fucking kidding me? Fucking bullshit, like the beginning of spring break they said it'd be online for three weeks and they'd make a decision at the end of that period, then less than a week later they said "haha sike we've already decided to do it for the rest of the semester <3". [insert ten paragraphs of me ranting about society]

And I'm sure despite making decisions like that, universities will up tuition/refuse to reduce it even though nobody's on campus to use the services their tuition money supposedly pays for.

Fuck colleges.

I'm fully expecting a second retarded full lockdown at this point. The media mongrels have convinced the populace that the virus is "worse than ever before" with "spiking numbers everywhere" (with nobody questioning exactly how that happened of course, and if they do they quickly get told it's because of places opening up and not due to the chimpouts throughout the country). When autumn season comes about they'll push for it as hard as possible with the extra strength of "flu season" in their cards. No sports, no gatherings, no holidays. Just stay in your pods indefinitely, goys.

About a month ago I wouldn't have believed it, but we're now in a timeline where they're manually removing Teddy Roosevelt and every other historical figure from public sight and memory and some are even threatening to blow up Mt. Rushmore. Absolutely anything on the insanity chart is possible now.
