Yet again, entirely fabricated. You won't find any tweets using this unironically, yet the "kpop stans" come out in force to "shut it down", because they're forcing it to begin with. They're creating an illusion that they're a giant, anti-racist, anti-bigot force to be reckoned with. You can literally scroll to the beginning of this pretty quickly and find the tweet that started it off. They found one tweet and started going "nuh uh girlfriend nuh uh", and then get the attention of national headlines.
It seems bizarre to care about on the surface, but teens want to fit in badly. They see things like this, they see the national attention, AOC tweeting about them, CNN and tons of newspapers outright thanking them, and they jump right on board. Along with TikTok, they're manipulating tons of teens to rally around their cause, gaining the support of youth with ease.
