Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

I love seeing weebs want the regions to go back to being inspired by Japanese regions because gens 5-8 are “souless theme parks” in comparison. Weebs act like every part of Japan is the exact same as each other.
It isn't really the fact it's not based off of japan that gives that vibe of "theme parkness" but I can understand that sentiment for Kalos and Galar, which for various reasons are kinda just generic as hell to me. unova was suprisingly good at themeing and while I hate SUMO as whole, alola was had good themeing even if its routes were the worst in the series before Galar came along

Anybody tuning in to watch the Pokemon stream that is happening today?

I wonder what big news they're going to talk about. Probably a Sinnoh remake, which seeing as how ORAS was, might be a disaster.

It's going to be more mobile shlock from their deal with Tencent, nothing noteworthy. If they had something else big like Sinnoh remakes or whatever they would've shown it during the last presentation.

That sucks. So more mobile games?

The cafemix one was pretty cute, but it just reminds me a lot of shuffle.

So there's been a bunch of datamined stuff about the Crown Tundra. It appears that the two were being made at the same time.

First, the full list of returning mons:

There are 2 unannounced pokemon in the dex, before calyrex. Their codenames, Hakuba and Kokuba, basically translate to White Horse and Black Horse. They seem to have the ability to join with Calyrex, leading to guesses he'll mount them or something.

Also, the map's a lot bigger. There's definitely a flag to allow for following pokemon in the Crown Tundra, too.

All the details (there's a LOT more) can be found here:

A POKEMON MOBA?!

WHAT THE FUCK?!

whaaaaaaat the fuck.

Okay, I will say, some things intrigue me. Like the idea of sitting on your captured pokemon for points until you have to dunk. And I also like that they incorporated evolution into the game.

But... seriously, what the fuck? Why have some of the pokemon not evolve when they could? Why is there only 10 mons listed, of which EIGHT are from gen 1? How are wild pokemon distributed?

What's going on?!

EDIT: But I will say, I'm glad there's no remakes or next main games out yet.

No idea why they thought devoting an entire stream to a MOBA to a fanbase that consists of mostly casual players who don't care about them would be a good idea. This is Diablo Immortal levels of misunderstanding your target audience.

That being said, the game looks alright I guess, although I'm not too much of a fan of MOBAs honestly.
