I remember in 2012, Mitt Romney being called a sexist, racist and a nazi. Now he is proclaimed as a hero for resisting orangeman. The silver lining will be that voters will most likely toss him in 2024 and the the Republicans can run a less divisive candidate on the platform of healing the country. Sad what makes Trump so entertaining is what might cost him the election despite his success.
Point is that Republicans ran a full blown corporate sanitized milquetoast and was called the worst names in the book while the media was cowering for Obama.
Republicans could ran Ghandi and they would still be called Nazis and White Supremacists and shit.
Republicans need control of the media and need control of some urban centers.
That is what Tucker has been telling all these boomers, that they need more control and expand their reach as their power centers are dangerously close to being extinct.
Trump has a better chance than 2016 and he still has time to get shit down if he plays his cards right and his voice can change the narrative.
And Biden for all his faults is a fuckup along with the supposed VP Kamala Harris. And all the other VP choices are shit also. Trump fucks up, Biden will fuck up harder.
Edit: I want to just add for all the zoomers here, when Mitt Romney in 2012 was asked about illegal immigration, he said that illegals should self deport and the sexist comment he was called out for was the comment "binders full of women". And there was that one "47 percent" talking point that the media used as a cudgel to bash Romney with as a elitist fuck.
Compare that with Trump said in 2016. Any student of politics would say that Romney had the higher chance to win. But guess who won in the end. 2020 is not over as now its a referendum on can Trump project strength, peace and prosperity. Because sad to say if he can't and fails, then he deserves to lose. I mean fuck he has to share some of the blame like not taking care of ANTIFA months before when he was fully aware of it then when referenced them when Charlottesville happened.
